As stated before, the laminate is in place, but there is still unfinished work such as gaps, loosenosing pieces, trim work, caulking, drywall patching, and paintingWhat is left is not a "punchlist"All remaining work is within the scope of the initial installation, and the original expectationwas that we received a finished product in a timely and professional manner.By Heather C [redacted] own admission the "job has taken too long"She has neverphysically laid eyes on our project, and all contractors that I have spoken to have either beenfired or left the companyTherefore I think it's fair to assume she does not have an accuratehandle on the scope of our project.Heather says she would like to finish the project, but past history shows otherwise:February 6th, 2015: The head contractor did not show up at our job, and the two that were hereworked for about two hours then left early for the dayThey left us with the problems describedabove.February 13th, 2015: The contractor tasked with overseeing the completion of the job did notshow up as scheduled to assess/complete any remaining work.February 17th, 2015: The head contractor came out and did a small amount of caulking but didnot have any laminate or tools to complete the remaining workHe left after a few hours and didnot return to complete the remaining workAfterwards no one at Carpets of Dalton followed upabout our project.March 13th, 2015: After I contacted Carpets of Dalton, wondering when they were going tocomplete the job, Heather informed me that her contractor reported the job was finished andwas unaware we had remaining work.May 5th, 2015: A contractor showed up the very end of the day and without any toolsWe didnot hear back from Carpets of Dalton until 11/16/when Heather tried to collect the remainderof the balance.Ten months have passed since we initiated this project and we have already paid Carpets ofDalton $We are not looking to get a refund for the poor work & customer serviceWesimply want our contract nullified or changed to reflect that it is "paid in full"I believe this fairconsidering the amount of time my girlfriend and I have had to take off from work to be availablefor Carpets of Dalton to complete the projectThey have had several opportunities and plenty oftime, and we do not have faith they can complete the job as promised

Mr [redacted] admits that the job is almost complete. I don't understand why he will not allow me to finish the work in question and collect a reasonable balance. I understand he feels it has been a bad experience. I am doing my best to correct his experience. I don't believe that Mr [redacted] will be happy if I forgive the balance. I think he will still be unhappy and tell everyone he knows I didn't finish the job and it will still not be finished. I have a right as the contractor to finish the work in question and to make it correct. I would be willing to reduce the balance to $400.00 half of the current balance and Carpets of Dalton will finish the details that Mr [redacted] has outlined. I have seen the project and I have seen pictures of the punch list. I am sure we can correct the issues in a few hours. If Mr [redacted] would rather have us come on a weekend day, (Saturday) so as not to interrupt his work schedule I can make that happen. I feel as through Mr [redacted] does not want to pay his bill and he wants additional reasons to have bad faith in my company. If I don't finish the work he will always have reason to point out to everyone that we are a bad company to do work with and we don't finish our jobs. If Mr [redacted] wants me to forgive the balance completely and not finish the work he has outlined. I need a release stating that he has requested that and he will no longer complain about my company or my efforts regarding customer service on any social media sites. Heather C[redacted]

We did do the work in question, the balk of the work is finished, Mr. [redacted] does have an existing punch list that I would very much like to finish for him. The job did take too long and we have had some issues with personnel coming and going. We as any business have dealt with those transitions to...

the best of our ability. I understand that Mr. [redacted] is frustrated with Carpets of Dalton, I have apologized for that and I am trying to do the remaining repairs that he is requesting. (some of which are out of the scope of the contracted work). IE painting, some touch up is always common with flooring work. But I am willing to perform for the inconvenience he has endured. I just want to complete the work and be paid. I think that is fair. I am willing to adjust the bill some what considering the time that has expired and all the changes we have been through, but I don't think that it is fair to not pay me and not allow me to finish the repairs in question.Mrs. C[redacted]

Review: Carpets of Dalton committed to doing a laminate stair installation on January 22, 2015 and work began the first week in February in our home. Most of the rough laminate work was completed but there are many problems with the finished product including unfinished caulking, unpainted walls, crooked laminate, gaps between nosing pieces, unglued/unfastened nosing pieces, missing trim pieces, and tool marks/gouges in the drywall. Between February and May of 2015 we tried several times to get Carpets of Dalton to send a contractor out to finish the remaining work so we could close the contract and pay the remainder of our balance. After being informed that the initial contractors that were hired for our job were no longer with the company, a new contractor was finally sent on May 5, 2015. This new contractor showed up without any of the proper tools and admitted he did not have the necessary experience to perform the work required to finish our stair project. After informing Carpets of Dalton that the work was still not complete we did not hear back until November 16, 2015. We were informed after six plus months that the lead designer for our project was no longer with the company, but that we still had a balance to collect and they were finally ready to complete the work. I do not have faith based on my previous experience that Carpets of Dalton can perform their contractual obligation and complete the job as initially promised in January, almost ten months ago. Our project was essentially abandoned by Carpets of Dalton and they are insisting on receiving payment for a still unfinished job.Desired Settlement: We do not have faith Carpets of Dalton can complete our project in any capacity based on the fact that ten months have passed and still our project is not completed. We would like to nullify our contract with Carpets of Dalton, or have it adjusted to "paid in full" based on the unfinished work.

I love the carpet but customer service is poor. Also, poor communication. I had 5200.00 of carpet installed. As installers were leaving they said by the way, you'll need to have all the doors cut and we couldn't replace track to closet because that carpet was too thick. I had to pay someone to drive and cut doors. Then, I had also ordered 2 custom rugs of same carpet and it was forgotten for 2 weeks. When I did get them, one was without an entire corner! I had to take it back. 2 weeks later I had to call and found out it was ready. When I picked it up I was told oh, I thought I left a message sat( 6 days ago). I never received a call.
