Carr Business Machines Inc. Reviews (7)

Good afternoon,In reviewing this complaint the customer was billed for maintenance in the amount of $for the time period of 3/**/through 4/**/and service was provided on 3/**/as requested. The customer made a partial payment of $on their check number *** on 4/**/
acknowledging payment due. In addition to that billing was generated for April and May which in good faith I credited as I received the attached cancellation sometime in early June of '2013. It is the customer's responsibility to cancel the contract days in advance which they did not. Again in good faith I credited $189. Also, when cancelling a contract they should have made the request on their letterhead. Its somewhat confusing to read that the customer states their machine was fixed, but yet on the note attached it clearly states "Stop Billing us our machine is dead". The credibility of Carr is important to me and at this time the $remains due.Thank you and enjoy your day.*** *** ***Carr Business Systems (A *** Company)

I got this a machine through Carr Business approximately two years ago. Worst mistake ever. Machine constantly jams, goes offline so I can't print and scan and I've been over billed by hundreds of dollars and have been trying to resolve the dispute for over 6 months. The sales rep left shortly after leasing the machine and since then, I have not been able to get the issue resolved. No manager calls back that actually has the authority to do anything. They can't do simple things like bill me the rate that is on my contract. Then the machine billed thousands of black and white copies as color copies. I have talked to several different people and they don't get back to me with any resolution. This company is the absolute worst.

+1

In review of this complaint, please know this customer was provided with a copy of their contract.

In the interest of partnership this customer was also, provided with a revised invoice on 8/9/18, number 767011, in which a 50/50 split was offered and to date payment has not been received and is due. This customer recently reached out to Customer Care in which they chose to curse and speak to the rep. in such an unprofessional manner which is never the answer in trying to get assistance.

Thank you

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

for [redacted]'s information, the machine was NOT repaired on the visit of March 2013, the machine was left unrepairable by the employee of Carr. They said the machine could not be fixed, and left me, in the middle of tax season, with no copy machine to use. FYI, I no longer had a contract with Carr. They were continuing to maintain (supposedly) my machine with no contract, because they no longer serviced Ricoh Copy Machines. They had been taken over by [redacted], and only sold and repaired [redacted] machines now. So when the worker left, his answer to my broken machine was to purchase a new machine from them. I believe I agreed to pay 1/2 of that month, and that they should terminate any agreement they thought they had with me, since we no longer had any written contract (and I dare [redacted] to find a written contract). I told them that I would not purchase a new machine. The machine had a copy life of 2 million copies, and had less than 500,000 copies of use on it.  I purchased a Canon copier from Staples to finish out my tax season. It wasn't until September that I was able to find a private repairman, who fixed my machine, and I use it constantly now.  [redacted] is not informed about the situation, but makes a good case for no one to ever use Carr.Sincerely,[redacted]

We have been paying carr for a maintenance contract for many years. We just cancelled it as it was over 2000.00 per year and the copier wasnt worth that much. We still have several weeks on our contract and called them to order a drum. We were willing to pay for the drum but were told we would have to send them at least $1500.00 or wait till our contract runs out and then they will ship. EXTORTION AT ITS BEST. Ordered one on EBAY. Will never use or recommend to anyone. STAY AWAY

Review: I been calling this company for the last two weeks already, because I been having some issues with my printer. Since that time they been promising that they will send somebody to repair the machine. No one has never came yet, I'm still waiting for them to fix my problem, but nothing yet, and since that time I cant use my printer...Desired Settlement: I would like to them to repair my printer or exchange it for a new one...

Response:

In response to complaint ID#[redacted],

Customer has a past due balance owed to Carr Business Systems (A Xerox Company) totaling $5812.72 for invoices dated 10/**/12 thru 8/**/13. This DOES NOT include monthly maintenance for Sept/Oct/Nov because of nonpayment the account is blocked and additional billings will not bill.

Balance includes monthly maintenance and usuage billed which has not been paid

Monthly maintenance is an "All Inclusive Maintenance Agreement" for parts, labor and supplies except paper/staples.

Customer is not paying their monthly maintenance and service cannot be provided

Customer was advised service would not be provided numerous times, but they continued to call, became angry and annoyed

Also, please note this customer contacted the leasing company and advised them they would be throwing the equipment onto the street

Leasing company aware they are not making payments to CARR Business Systems (A Xerox Company)

Tried to arrange a payment arrangement with customer to no avail

Customer called numerous times within a day demanding service and continued for a few days

Customer advised we cannot provide service due to nonpayment of the monthly maintenance and also, usage billing, again we proposed a payment arrangement, but they did not agree.

On 11/**/13, our [redacted], [redacted] emailed the customer in regards to a change in copies per month along with a payment arrangement in which the customer has not made any payment on.

EMAIL ATTACHED

Week of 11/**/13 contacted account for payment and was advised would call back, to date no response received.

Please understand we do make accomodations, but this account has not made any recent payments and will not agree to any payment arrangements as noted in the attached email. We have responded to their concerns, but regardless of what is proposed they are not in agreement. This customer has left Carr personnel on hold, ignored phone calls and has been verbally abusive making demands of what we need to do for them.

Its unfortunate as we do strive to provide our customers with excellent customer service, but this account is not making their monthly maintenance payment or payment for the usage on their equipment.

If I can be of further assistance, please contact me at ###-###-####.

Thank you kindly,

Review: I had a maintenance agreement for a Ricoh 2027 Copy Machine with Carr Business Systems. Carr refused to continue servicing my machine, saying they were now aligned with [redacted] and could no longer maintain my copier. They stopped servicing my machine back in February 2013, when they came to fix my machine for the last time, and could not fix it. Since then they have been trying to bill me for the month of March 2013, for half a month maintenance. I spoke to company representatives several times who promised to cancel any outstanding bills. And now the company bills me every month for the outstanding balance from March 2013 for $47.25. I refuse to pay for service that a)they canceled on me, and b)their refusal to maintain my machine under the original agreement I had with them, and the fact that when they left me for the last time, the machine was inoperable. (I have since gotten the machine fixed by a private company, which I paid for).Desired Settlement: Want Revdex.com to get Carr Business Systems to stop billing me the outstanding balance of $47.25 and to close my file there permanently. Otherwise I will sue them for harassment.
