are trying to keep money where there is no signedlease and no legal grounds for you to keep any of the $775.00.My cancelled checks show that the original deposit chec?k of $775.00 was cashed on 3/25/15 wherein you wrote ?Aprilrent in the memo section which was not correct, and my check for $900.00 which was cashed 3/31/15 and my sonwrote rent on the memo line. (1st discrepancy)
2?nd discrepancy - The original lease agreement (copy enclosed, I have the original) is not filled in with my sons name,the Rent amount you told him and there was no adjustment on the lease for the pet arrangements you discussed,and the deposit amount of $775.00 you received on 3/25 is not filled in. You had checks fo?r both the deposit andrent before the lease was supposed to begin and there is no reason you should not have completed and properlyexecuted the lease before April?1st. No one would sign a blank document you provided.
3rd discrepancy - My son and wife went to the unit on Saturday April 4th The unit smells of cigarette smoke and thecarpet had not been cleaned. Although some of the walls looked like they had been painted, if the entire unit hadbeen painted and the carpets cleaned, there should not be the smell of cigarette smoke, and you should be able tosmell the fresh paint. I did take pictures of the carpet, missing baseboard in the bathroom and other minor areas.
I do expect another cashier's check for the remaining $775.00 no later than Friday April 10th or I willwill be forced to file an action with the Delaware court on Monday. In addition I will file complaints with the BetterBusiness Bureau, the Apartment Owners Association and the Ohio State Attorney Generals office.
I will be [redacted] on Friday at 5:30 to pick up the check from mail box A or I would be happy to meet you at yourresidence at [redacted] Rd. anytime this week. I have relatives that also live on [redacted] Rd.

Mr. Carr called Revdex.com to answer this complaint by phone. He said he is going to refund 20 days because of the time needed to re-rent the property. He will send a cashier's check by certified mail this week.

This landlord is cheap and not honest. He does not make needed repairs or upgrades. The carpets are not installed correctly the floors are bowed and the flooring is coming up. My floor is so bowed the my daughter has trouble opening the door. The property has single pained, which I was advised would be corrected at time of moving in and still have not be done. Properties are not properly insulated and which makes the electric bill EXTREMELY HIGH, when asked to have this checked out he shrugs and says yeah, then ignores it. He has outside facets for water, but removes the handles so you are unable to use them. ALL IN ALL my living arrangement with this landlord has been an on going battle.

There was no lease that entitles him to charge me any amount.   I offered to pay him for 3 days that we were in possession of the front door key and he refused to compromise then.
