I've been seeing *** at Carrboro Family Clinic for years and could not be more pleased with a practitionerUnlike in-and-out places where you might speak with someone for minutes, *** takes the time and effort to get to know her patientsShe's guided me to better health with skill and graceThough her thick accent was at first a little hard to understand, I've learned *** is a thoughtful communicatorShe's funny and sensitive as well as direct and efficient; she's very observantThe facility is clean and well-cared for and it's clear *** takes pride in her practiceThough she runs a one-man operation, she's always seen me promptly and has never rushed an appointmentI've never had an issue with billing/claims/or insuranceI'm pleased to be her patient and confident in her care

Used this clinic for a sports physical. Owner would not cooperate with insurance company. Repeatedly ignored phone calls, emails, and faxes. Insurance was finally able to pay for service. 3 years later owner filed a claim to a debt collection agency saying payment was not made. We called to pay once again and owner was very rude and not professional at all. Would not go back or recommend anyone to use this clinic for anything!

Billed for medical services after insurance company denied claim for causeI received a bill from Carrboro Family Clinic dated Aug 9 2015 for services provided Jan 11 2013. My insurance company, [redacted], had denied the claim for the services as the clinic had not filled the claim properly. My insurance had sent me a statement of benefits stating should not be billed for the services. The clinic was informed in writing of this, however the clinic still sent me the bill, for $135. [redacted] confirmed with me and the clinic that I do not have to pay this bill, however I've not heard from the clinic that the bill has been withdrawn.Desired SettlementI need a billing adjustment from the clinic showing that I have zero balance for the services.Business Response His account has 0 balance now.Consumer Response I'm satisfied with the response. Failure to file correctly my insurance within the one and 1/2 year deadline. Provide waited 2 years to file insurance correctly. For my visit in January, 2012 I asked if they needed a co-payment and they stated NO. I told them I had [redacted] and NOT to file my bill with [redacted] insurance. They filed with [redacted] for my bill anyway. They waited TWO years and sent me a bill for $252.00 for total for minimum level office visit and asked about insurance that they THEN, after 2 YEARS! filed and was quickly rejected. On April 4, 2014 they sent me ANOTHER bill for $282.00 (they added $30 late charge). I called and complained. Finally, Sat., 4/5/14, I spoke to Mgr. and they again wanted to file with [redacted] and I explained that it would NOT pay. Mgr. agreed to make an adjustment in bill. I had sent early Sat., 4/5/14 a check for full amount $282.00 fearing more late charges. I do NOT understand whyANY health care provided would wait 2 YEARS to file insurance and would NOT UNDERSTAND that [redacted] does NOT cover office visits, even AFTER I explained to them that it would not. Also, I think the basic charge for minimum level office visit of about $145.00 is excessive, I do not know if the charge is fair or not. My complaint is with improper billing to insurance co. and two years to send me a bill!Desired SettlementI am requesting an ADJUSTMENT in the total amount of bill to compensate me for their NOT filing insurance claim in proper amount of time.Also, I really think charges are excessive. Though her thick accent was at first a little hard to understand, I've learned [redacted] is a thoughtful communicator. She's funny and sensitive as well as direct and efficient; she's very observant. The facility is clean and well-cared for and it's clear [redacted] takes pride in her practice.
