Horrible all around I paid for and they confirmed a reservation; they sent a voucher for Advantage When we went to pick up the car, they did not have one for us and said that they had nothing to accommodate us unless we wanted to pay "a lot extra" The cost for the walk up rental that we had to get someplace else was about 4x what we had already paid Car Rental Car Rental said that we would have to go to Advantage directly if we wanted to get any of that extra cost back They said that they were only able to give us a refund of what we paid them However when I received the refund, it was $less than what I paid So I had to spend yet another minutes waiting on the phone to get the rest of my money back After reading more reviews it seems that this company likes to leave people out in the cold and try to steal their money

Car rental 10/30/ Awful experience I arrived at the Airport in FloridaProceeded to the counter to get my rental carAt the counter, I was told that because I had a visa debit card, I could not rent a carI called the company, was on hold for an hour before someone answered and hung up on me After my 3Rd call a very nice lady answered and told me to rent a car somewhere else I'd have to pay an extra $170!! So I had to hang up and call to get my other card numbers because I left it at home Again I called several times to get no answerThis went on for about hoursThere I sat in the airport, stranded because no one would answer the phoneI would not recommend this company to anyone, please be aware that after you book with them, any changes cost $$$ The only reason I got a car is because the 1st lady I talked to called me back, thank you Kate so very much!

Very disappointed in this company! They charged me more than what showed when I made the online reservation so I called within hours of making the reservation, and got a complete run around So, I decided to cancel the reservation, and was told that I would get a full refund, but unfortunately they lied and kept $ I tried to call again regarding the money they kept, and got more of the same run around from the same person who had said I would get all of my money back When I asked her if she had said I would get a full refund she said she didn't remember, and the manager would have to listen to the recording Was on hold for minutes initially, and then she said I would have to speak with a manager After holding for another minutes I was disconnected:(

Their website for the year part is really misleading!
I reserved in car rental 8 for my Hawaii trip. However, when I brought my reservation number to Thrifty, they told me that the reservation actually is for the next year, and Thrifty don't have any car available at that moment, so I have to go to Hertz by taxi for my car rental. Then I called the costumer service immediately, and after waiting for 30 minutes somebody told me the manager can help me take care of the cancellation fee, so I called 2 days later, the manager is still not there. Then I called again and still nothing! Finally one of the customer service tell me that I should email them so the manager can solve this. So! I emailed them again, guess what happen, they denied that they can waived the cancellation! Seriously? After wasting so much time? A company does not consider customers reviews will never improve!!
Then I came to this website and found so many terrible reviews about them now I understand why.

Do not ever rent from Car Rental 8. I reserved a car at the West Palm Beach Airport and I failed to indicate my pick up and drop off times. I went back to their web site to correct my error I was charged an additional $8.00 plus an additional $22.00 fee which I indicated that I did not want. I contacted them and was told that was their policy for mistakes and nothing could be done.

Awful experience
I arrived at the Airport in Florida. Proceeded to the counter to get my rental car. At the counter, I was told that because I had a visa debit card, I could not rent a car. I called the company, was on hold for an hour before someone answered and hung up on me. After my 3Rd call a very nice lady answered and told me to rent a car somewhere else I'd have to pay an extra $170!!
So I had to hang up and call to get my other card numbers because I left it at home. Again I called several times to get no answer. This went on for about 3 hours. There I sat in the airport, stranded because no one would answer the phone. I would not recommend this company to anyone, please be aware that after you book with them, any changes cost $$$.
The only reason I got a car is because the 1st lady I talked to called me back, thank you Kate so very much!
