We thank the Revdex.com for the opportunity to address the concerns of our customer as sent to the Revdex.com. We understand the customer booked a reservation with Thrifty but the reservation was actually booked with Dollar, Thrifty’s sister company. Our apologies for the technical

When a vendor offers unlimited mileage, it does not necessarily mean there are no geographical restrictions.
Although the customer booked a reservation for which we stated unlimited mileage, if she had clicked through the terms and conditions, she would have been informed that unlimited mileage was only in the state of Texas. Information regarding the additional mileage fee for taking the vehicle out of state was also provided prior to reserving We regret the customer did not avail herself of the information available

We thank the Revdex.com for this opportunity to provide assistance and some additional information. We understand from the customer’s comments to the Revdex.com and to our Customer Support Team that he would like to be reimbursed for what the customer considers a downgraded
vehicleAdditionally, we would like to address his comments regarding the fact that he could have reserved a smaller vehicle which would have been less expensive
First and foremost, we would like to begin by offering a refund in the amount of $as a courtesy
Second, we would like to explain that the customer rented an economy size vehicle which is the smallest and least expensive vehicle offered by SIXT at AUH. According to his confirmation email, the vehicle reserved would seat passengers and hold up to pieces of luggage which is what was provided by SIXT
Third, we would like to state when a reservation is made, there is never a guarantee of a particular make or model. Only the seating capacity is guaranteedThe luggage capacity is provided as a guide only and there never is a guarantee one’s luggage will fit in the vehicle provided as luggage size varies as does trunk capacityThe customer states he reserved the economy size vehicle because we showed it would hold pieces of luggage
In this case, SIXT offers either the Toyota Yaris or the Mazda in their fleet when one reserves an economy size car. Both seat passengers and hold approximately the same amount of luggage which in this case is denoted as bags. SIXT defines the luggage capacity for either vehicle as carry-ons and full-size bagAt the rental counter, the customer was offered the Mazda which is a hatch-back which apparently did not fit his needs
Important to note is that the customer did not pay more than the quoted rate and is now seeking a refund for what he believes he could have reserved a smaller car

reservation due to a family emergency and later wrote to the Revdex.com that he would like a refund due to additional fees. His original email to CarRentals.com: Aloha, sorry but I need to cancel my reservation because of a family emergencyMy reservation is We promptly advised the customer that since this reservation was prepaid, it could not be canceled but could be rebooked for a later time We would like to take this opportunity to provide additional information for each of the points the customer has raised This company uses intentionality deceptive language and techniques to trick people into booking a car that looks like a great deal by artificially giving cheap and exciting offers that appear randomly at the top search results in apps like Kayak Nowhere clear or in direct language does the company state that the booking is non-refundable during the transaction, it also neglectes to factor in or offer important information that would lead a consumer to avoid them Second the reason that the price looks cheap is because the booking agency intentionally omitted information about other fees that will be incurred not just limited to insurance coverage The car rental company cannot release the car without being paid this extra fees so in my case a $would of turned into a $rental Prices on Kayak and CarRentals.com are listed with the least expensive on top. Information regarding any additional fees are available in the Car Rental Rules and Restrictions which can be accessed on the Reservation Page and on the FAQ page prior to reserving in the Payment Module and contain the following information: Payment Information Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation XXXX (USD) when you reserve your carThis pre-paid reservation cannot be changed or refunded. We regret the customer misinterpreted our good-will gesture Important to know is the customer opted for the Pay Now option in order to receive a further discount and the vehicle was 100% guaranteed for the customer’s arrival He was offered the ability to rebook at a later day and disagreed with that option We hope the Revdex.com understands we did our utmost to try to offer the customer another solution

As pre our email conversations, we can't contact back where we closed all our accounts: in this situation its pointless.
Our concern is: what could happened if the debit card got canceled or stolen? We are walking to the rental company, with the driving license and different debit card, and we can't get a car.
We used a different company to get a vehicle. All what we are asking to send us a check.

Dear [redacted]thank you for reaching out.I have reviewed you query and we are apparently talking about two different reservations. The first one was created through CarRentals.com: [redacted] and a second one that you purchased directly through [redacted]: [redacted] is a postpaid...

reservation, meaning that we locked the rate for you, but the payment would take place directly at the counter.What I understand from your exchange with our customer service team is that you contacted [redacted] on the day of the intended pick-up to modify your reservation to a later pick-up time. Ultimately you signed a rental agreement that was not facilitated through CarRentals.com. Unfortunately we won´t be able to recreate the circumstances that led to [redacted] presenting you with a new reservation, given that we as CarRentals.com were not present during the check-out at the local station. However, you evidently accepted their offer (contract attached).Considering that your original booking has not been used leads to the direct conclusion that possible claims can´t be based on its terms, as a "no show" equals a cancellation under binding cancellation policy, which you accepted during the purchasing procedure.Given the above explanations we won´t be able to issue the refund you requested since the contractual liability regarding the reservation we facilitated for you never went into effect.I am sorry for not being able to provide you with a more positive answer.

 I understand from the customer’s comments to the Revdex.com that she was dissatisfied with the vehicle provided and she was unaware of the deposit requirements or the mileage restrictions.

Second, I would like to remind the customer that information regarding both the deposit and mileage issues were available prior to reserving.  I found the following information in the Car Rental Company Rules and Restrictions pertaining to the deposit requirements for local renters:

Renters traveling on official government business, on military leave, or with an approved CID number are exempt from the local renter policy. Failure to show an acceptable policy will result in the rental being declined.LOCAL RENTER MILEAGE EXCLUSIONLocal Renters are subject to a maximum mileage limit of 150 free miles per day. A mile charge of $0.55 will be added to any additional miles.
