Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response from CarRight is not correct The oil pump was replaced during the first visit because when the did the engine repair the got metal shaving in the oil which was ruined and replaced at no cost because they caused it During the first visit I also had all the spark plugs replaced, so the one they replaced was in fact part of original service I paid for They did give me a loaner car but only after having the truck for two and half weeks and I was going out of town and my wife needed a car for the weekend They also did give me a loaner car the next visits, but since they never fixed the truck in the first three weeks of having it they owed giving me something to make it to work They did inspect it but I believe they only did it to get me out of their hair My check engine still comes on and off and the truck still shakes They don't call me back anymore I will never buy a Dodge or Ram product again, and I've bought three new vechicles from Dodge in the past Last summer we switched to Toyota and are happy with our it! I excepted more from CarRight since I leave in Moon Township, but they are defiantly not very helpful to our community.

I went into the dealership with every intention of registering and titling the vehicle in PAMeghan told me the process of what I would need to do in order to drive the vehicle off the lot (with a PA license and insurance)When Meghan brought me the initial paperwork for payments (which were far too high for me), she told me I could register my vehicle in Alaska, which would save on taxesWhen Ian (General Manager) came out and introduced himself, he reiterated that if I register the car in Alaska, it would save me some money and bring the payments downTHAT IS WHERE THE IDEA CAME TO REGISTER THIS VEHICLE IN ALASKAYOUR staff's suggestion, NOT MINE.Had this been a "problem" it should NOT have been brought up AFTER the final buyer's notice was signed by both parties and sent to my bank to finish up the processI called the Fairbanks DMV, as well as a tags and titles company, who spoke with Anthony and cleared up the situation because I CAN register my vehicle thereI have an Alaska license and my parents still live thereI have also lived in Arizona and North Carolina and have purchased vehicles in both statesDid I register and title them in Alaska? YES. The above situation isn't the problem because it was cleared up in a matter of days after Anthony spoke with Christina from Titles and Tags in Fairbanks, AlaskaThe problem is that I would be driving this vehicle today, had it not been for your title specialist signing and notarizing her own signature on the POA and then "stating" my bank was being difficultAnd yes, I have the paperwork to prove this. The interactions were much more complicated than have been outlined in the complaint.  We respect the customer's frustration in the situation, however, we were not comfortable with the methods in which the transaction was requested by the customer.  The customer lives in Pennsylvania, but...

wanted to title the vehicle in Alaska to avoid sales tax.  We had significant reservations regarding the ramifications and issues resulting from this proposed transaction which we are not able to discuss in this venue.  As an automobile dealership, we only survive by selling and servicing customers' automotive needs.  We try to sell vehicles every day and do everything in our power to make that happen.  If the customer was willing to perform the requested actions and follow all state and local guidelines we would have been happy to complete the transaction.  Sincerely,The CarRight Management Team

On the day of July 26, 2016 the customer visited our store looking for a new vehicle.  During the process of showing the vehicle, the discussion with the salesperson and the customer branched out into a potential two-car transaction involving the customer’s Chevy Cruz and his wife’s Chevy...

Equinox.  The customer had a payment goal between the two vehicles.  The customer also mentioned putting several thousand dollars down towards the transaction.  We were able to reach the customer’s payment goal via a lease on a Ram truck and a finance option on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.  As per our agreement, the customer traded in the Cruz and grounded the Equinox lease.  Instead of putting a more substantial amount of money down, we were able to reach the customer’s payment goal with only $1,000 cash down.  Our agreement allowed the customer to put a relatively small amount down, achieve their payment goal, and keep the money otherwise used as down money to satisfy the grounded lease.  As a side, grounding a lease is a process wherein the customer turns over their leased vehicle and the lender is notified.  The customer is responsible for the balance of payments that remain unpaid along with any fees or damage as outlined in the customer’s lease agreement.  Contrary to the customer’s statement, at no time was there any conduct which could be construed as intention[redacted] misleading, let alone arise to the level of a “con.”  A genuine, good faith back-and-forth negotiation took place on our way to arriving at the deal that we struck.  As we always do, we tried to be as transparent as we could for our customer and in no way employed “con artist tactics.”  Our agreement was that which is outlined above – trade one vehicle and ground another.   In regard to the customer’s tangential comment about his referral, I do not know who he is referencing and therefore cannot comment on any such particulars.  All I can say is that we have issued no such written apologies.  Stating that our organization has “painted a picture of incompetence or corruption” is wholly unfounded and unsubstantiated.

the formal approval from the Customer to proceed with the required repairs, and the repairs were completed,  the check engine light was no longer lit and the Customer was satisfied. The Customer returned two weeks later with the check engine light on again. However, after proper diagnosis, the issue was discovered to be intermittent low oil pressure. This is not uncommon with vehicles over 100,000 miles, such as the Customer's vehicle. After gaining the Customer's approval We took the liberty of installing a new oil pump at absolutely no charge to the Customer, and the issue was resolved. Shortly after the oil pump was replaced, the Customer returned on 9/7/17 with the same concern of a check engine light. After again properly diagnosing the car, it was found that the vehicle had a faulty spark plug. Again, this was not related to the previous repairs that were completed on the vehicle. After obtaining the Customer's approval, the spark plug was replaced, and this again solved the issue. The final time that the Customer returned for a state inspection, and the check engine light was on again. However, after diagnosis was performed on the vehicle, no vehicle codes appeared, and there were no other issues that could be detected by our master technicians.  During all of the repairs listed above, and to soften any inconvenience that the Customer was experiencing,  the Customer was provided a complimentary loaner vehicle. Although we understand the frustration that the Customer has experienced,  we stand by our excellent team that has been working on the Customer's vehicle. We have properly diagnosed the vehicle many times, and the issues that it has been experiencing are unrelated to each other.  At CarRight, we always treat our customers with the utmost respect and professionalism that they expect, and work diligently to solve any concerns that they have with their vehicle. Although this has been a frustrating situation for the Customer, we look forward to assisting the Customer with any and all of his future automotive needs.
