Carrillo's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Reviews (1)

November 1, 2017 Reference: ID *** In response to Mr***'s claim, Mr*** had contacted Carrillo's Plumbing and Heating and asked how much it would cost to run a pressure test for the gas line and get the meter unlockedHis mother was moving in the following weekend and he
wanted to get this done asap. Mr*** was told that told that it should cost under $200.00, as long as there were no leaks or any other issues that had to be done before inspection by the cityThis was not a quote, just an estimated figure being that nobody had seen what needed to be done at the residence in questionMr*** was told that Monday would be best for us, due to our schedule, to perform the pressure testHe agreed with Monday. Upon arrival of the residence, the only gas appliances were the water heater and the furnaceThe stove and oven were electric not gasAfter looking at everything, the only thing that was needed to get the job done, was that a tee was needed to be installed on the customer side of the gas meter to perform the pressure testThis was explained to Mr*** and he had agreed.Once the pressure test is complete (holding pressure for hours), then an inspection is called into the City so that an inspector can come inspect the items in questionIt may take anywhere from one day to a week for the inspector to inspect the job, depending on how busy they areOnce the inspection has passed, then we have to call the City to schedule a meter unlockDuring this time, we have to go remove our gauge (pressure test) and make sure its ready for them to unlock the meterA few trip were made to the residence in between the time of the passing of the inspection and the meter unlock, only because the City does not call anybody when they unlock the meter, so we were going by to assure that we could have this job completed by the time his mother moved in. Mr*** was charge an hour and a half for labor/time, a permit (City of Las Cruces), and the parts that were needed to make the proper connection and testThe whole time the technician was out there and the times he went to check the gauge and look to see if the meter had been unlocked, there was never any "handyman" at the residence, nor had he gone to the residence due to the fact that the tools were in the garage and nothing had been moved through out the whole processThe "handyman" did not turn on the furnace nor the water heater because he could not do so until the meter was unlocked and turned on at the meter, which was done by the technicianAgain, Mr*** was contacted by the technician and was told of everything that was needed to ensure a clear inspection. We are very sorry for the miscommunication, but there is not company that will give a firm price or bid on a job without looking at the job firstOur apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused anyone.
