I had my loan sold from *** ** *** to Carrington back in DecI found out because I was behind with *** and tried to send them a Cashiers Check to make the loan current and it was sent back to me with a letter stating the mortgage had been sold to another lenderThat was Jan When I asked for information on the new lender I was told they did not have that information and I would have to wait for the new lender to contact meThe first information I received from Carrington was in late April of 2016, and it was in the form of a foreclosure noticeI immediately called the number listed and requested the amount needed for me to bring myself currentI was told they were not sure and would have to get me a reinstatement quote that could take up to business daysI was told this would include the past due amount plus late and attorney feesI expressed my dismay with having to pay these fees, as I was not aware of who to send a payment toI was met with a long list of dates

They are charging a fee for payments thru web or phone but they don't sent the paper bills on timeI did enrolled on automatic payments and apparently the system did not process my request, therefore the payment is again due, and the only way to do it is by phone or internet and there is a charge of by phone and by internetMy old mortgage company sold the account on July,and the Welcome letter letting me know about it from Carrington Mortgage came on September I just made a call to find out why the payment hasn't been made and customer services representative instead to ask me " how can I help you today" ( since I was the one calling) She (***) asked me "You owe your monthly payment, do you want to make it today"Their webpage doesn't work properly, so apparently any change or editing that you would like to do as making automatic payments doesn't go through and you ended up paying late fees or just fees

I contacted Carrington Mortgage on December 27, letting them know that I was going to make a total of three payments totaling $24,online that needed to be applied to the principal of my mortgageI let them know that I would be paying the loan off in February The first two payments of $9,each was applied to the principal The last payment of $was not applied to the principal, but was processed as three months of payments Out of the $almost a $is being applied to the interest and escrow If I am going to have the loan paid off in February of I don't need anymore money going to the escrow account They are telling me that it could take up to days to reverse the transaction I need the transaction reversed now and the $applied to the principal Very unethical practice that has me not being able to pay off the loan in February, because they want to also apply $of the $to my January payment This is jus

They have an appearant lack of training in their customer service department because they constantly give wrong information that leads to excessive delays in business dealingsIt’s a very long story on what happened but suffice to say at this time that l was given wrong information on business transactionsVery frustratingI even spoke with a department supervisor addressing my situation and her attitude was that she could basically care less and treated me like l was the problemJust want to warn people about doing business with this company

I received a check in the amount of $on 11/25/which I deposited into my account on 11/28/On 12/1/when I checked my account a "stop payment" was placed on the check by Carrington without notifying me according to the bank and was advised by my bank to contact them for the reason and to be refunded the $stop payment fee charged against my account When I contacted customer service on 12/5/16, I was informed that it was misapplied to my loan (Carrington’s error) and would reimburse the $when I supplied them documentation from my bank I submitted via fax on 12/7/16, the documentation from my bank on letterhead showing the monies being withdrawn and my balance being reduced as a result I called on 12/13/to follow up on the status of my check but to be informed by ***, the supervisor, that the documentation I submitted was not good enough They need to see a running balance for 10-days to make sure the bank did not credit me back the $I have been cont

Problem#Carrington mortgage services bought my mortgage I did not choose for them to have itThey raised the amount that I needed in my escrow account for the first year and a halfIt raised my mortgage payments $50/monthThey never lowered the payments until I called to confront them about it

Problem#The flood of in Louisianawe had flood insurance and received our check from farm bureau insurance by October(They were great and really helpful)The check was written to carrington mortgage services and myself (rightfully so as I still owe)The first phone call I made to cms (carrington mortgage services) because I didn't just want to mail the check of that sum through the mail without checking on processesI was told to simply mail the check to Anaheim California their home office, they would sign it and send it right backAfter waiting weeks I get the check back, UnsignedI called to see what happened and they told me that I needed the insurance paperwork with itSo I send it off againThe day I sent it off I received a packet in the mail stating everything that I needed to do to start receiving the money from the checkContractor estimates, w-forms from the contractors, notorized lien waivers, a notorized letter from myself that honestly I forgot what it was forEtc etcit also states that at the time that they would receive the contractors information and estimate that they would send 1/of my check to me in check form to me and the contractors(I could not put the check into my account because it was written out to a business also) so I had to pay the contractors 100% up front, before any work had been started)They would then require the house be 40% repaired with only sending me 33% of the moneyThey would send an inspection company out (which at first they wanted me to pay for the inspection) to rate the percentage of completionOrdering the inspection through them I was told would take 2-daysI didn't get my inspection done for weeksat the time of inspection the lady that came out was in her personal car, didn't have any certifications stating she worked as an inspector but did inspect the houseShe didn't have any paperwork stating what she was supposed to be looking at or forShe asked me what damages were doneafter she left she said we were at 90% complete which helped me but I don't think we were that far alongI called the mortgage company to ask what the final say was going to beWe were at 91% complete! Between 90-100% we were supposed to receive all insurance fundsI asked how the process works for sending my final check and they said that my process was taking entirely too long because of setbacks with cms so they were going to send it out day airWell that was over weeks ago and I get a phone call this morning with a tracking number telling me my check was just sent out this morningMoral of my story is that if you're days late on a mortgage payment you have to pay a late fee of normally $AND your credit score that you've worked hard for all your life will be significantly damaged, but if they hold $60,from you for 6+ months all you can do is accept their apologydo a quick google search of carrington mortgage services and see for your self1* rating and rightfully soThey kept me out of my house for AT LEAST 1-months just because of their process mishaps

I went to make a payment online and it was deniedSo I made a screen shot of the denialThen I called my bank asking to please contact them and make a payment and they didThe same day the took my payment from my bank they also took it electronically from the website that they said was denied, again, I have a screen shot to prove it was deniedNow I called Carrington and they said they can not issue a refund for days because the case has to be reviewedI have dollars left in my account with other transactions pending so over draft fees, not to mention not another pay check coming for over a week

Carrington became our mortgage service company after Chase sold the loan to them, and it has been a nightmare since the beginning- the very first paymt I sent them was $1200.00+ (I got the pymt amt due from their website) but when the received it, they said it was short approx$and denied the entire pymt, and mailed it back; That made our pymt late and they added feesThey add late fees and inspection fees monthly but their totals never quite add up rightThey bought hazard ins on our house and when we got our own ins, the denied it because they claim it doesn't indicate a refund due and are continuing to charge us for their insThey have been threatening to foreclose since almost day one, so we finally filed Chapter to save our home and they still tried to auction our house and bully us out of it- these people are shady crooks who don't care about helping people, they are only out to foreclose homes and make themselves money!

After weeks on the phone to get our taxes paid with NO HELP FOR THIS COMPANY! Not a professional company! Don't wish anyone to have to deal with these people!

They make it very difficult to pay off your loan I had to fax my request, nothing simple like calling or emailing Once I sent my check, they returned it saying they don't take personal checks even though they have been taking my personal check the whole time of my mortgage and I've never been late The directions I received from them about paying off my home also didn't say anything about no checksNow the amount it more due to interest In my case they only scammed me out of $but imagine if they do that to millions of peopleNo way this company has an A+ rating, 97% of the reviews are negative

My Mortgage was sold from *** Financial to Carrington LLC and there according to the contract I was not required to have flood insurance I get a dockument from Carrington sating that under the terms of the mortgage agreement I agreed to have flood insuranceWhich is a complete lie My insurance company has had me as a customer for years and will attest to the fact it was not required They also said that failure to do so is a breech of the terms of my mortgageAll a lie I have the original contract from *** to prove my pointIt shows this company to be terrible what other company will charge you $to make a payment? now they are adding more dollars per payment this is a strong arrn taticAfter all its a existing contract over years oldI have spoken to them times about this and yesterday when attempting to make a payment I saw the added charge I called then to no avail

This place is completely horribleI was a *** customer and without my permission, my account was switched over to Carrington and I have had to contact customer service multiple times every month because they continue to screw up my transactionsExtra principal payments are too hard for them to allocate correctly, automatic payment with an extra principal payment is too tough for them, their financial advisers do not understand how amortization and compounding interest works, they charge to make extra principal payments/online payments or payments over the phone and their customer service is the worst I have seenI am looking to spend money to refinance with a different bank 100% due to customer serviceIt is worth $3,to not have to deal with Carrington

This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt withWhen they acquired my loan, they started my direct deposit early and I ended up double paying that monthWhen I requested a payoff, it took a week to send me an emailThe customer service personnel are some of the rudest people I have ever spoken withIt is sad that I have no choice and cannot choose my lender!

Go ahead and grab your ankles and lube up folksMy mortgage was sold to Carrington by BOA and I was immediately worriedMy credit didnt drop, in fact it has been climbing, no late payments, the only thing I have done is make double payments so my year fixed will be paid off in I dont think BOA liked thatCarrington employees a number of shady tactics to extract late fees from youI sent my check weeks in advance of late date and it takes them "up to business days for processing" with the transit time it makes it just right for slapping you with a late fee which is 5% of your monthly paymentAlso, my mortgage was sold right after the MIP was removed and my loan payment was reassessedGuess what? Carrington had no record of this and charged me the old amount which was 100$+ my new paymentI had to fax several documents and wait a month before they accepted my proof of my new loan payment amountBAD!

*** ** *** sold my home loan, my payment is Due in January I've call Carrington several times in regards to a loan number with their company for paper work Customer representatives say I'm not in their system or they don't know what I'm talking aboutIved called *** ** *** only to be told to call CarringtonI'm not trying to have mortgage problems how do you pay a loan with no loan number or any paperwork to send the payment to?

I use bill pay through my bank, after I got the payoff amount, I had submitted full payment amount through my bill pay, days later I got the checks back with a letter that they could not accept the paymentFull payment (per letter) has to be money order, cashiers check or wireI call them and they stated that full has to be cashiers or wire onlyIf the funds were not in my account, my bank would not have sent the moneyHere it is business days away from the 1st and they told me to overnight it or western union it, if I do not want to pay the interest charges for the next month, reallyThank goodness, my bank charged a small fee to wire the fundsCarrington is a jokeNo wonder they received bad reviews for a mortgage company and collection

Recently Carrington Mortgage Services sent me a refund checkThe check had no explanation on what it was for so I figured I had overpaid since they had not sent me a statement for that monthI asked my wife to log onto the account to see what the refund check was for but Carrington had locked out my account
At the time, I did not think much of it until after two months I still had not received a statementAt this time I decided to call CarringtonThey said they locked me out of my account for inactivity and stop sending me payments because they thought my address was wrongI’ve been at the same house since and they have been sending my statements to this address since they started handling the accountSince they locked me out of my account and stopped sending me statements I got two months behind and am now getting threatening calls from CarringtonDuring the most recent call they insinuated that it was all my fault that they locked me out of my account and stop sending
