June *, 2016On April **, Weather Wise’s Technician responded to call for RUUD M#*** not coolingUpon arriving to the location our tech found the unit low on Freon (R22), which *** was advised.After conversation with the Field Supervisor and Technician spoke It was determined that the
fan cycle control and the swivel tee had to be changed, which cause the Freon to leakOnly after that can we recharge the Freon with R22. EPA regulation state we cannot just recharge a system with FREON! Unless we repair the systemOur quote to *** was for which covered installing new fan cycle, swivel tee, Freon and our initial call, which he did not approveSo therefore we charge his credit card for just the initial call for plus sales tax totaling 266.74.He has already dispute this amount of and had his credit card company charge us backHe was advised verbal and signed our form requesting serviceWe charge for diagnose the problem

 The technician said the pin was loose and tightened it. It was advised but not required to install the fan control because the AC runs during winter months. If the technician had not run out of freon on his truck and topped up the unit at the same time then he would have been able to perform the repair at the same time, but because he didn't have the freon, they wanted to charge two service calls plus freon which is unfair. The invoice clearly states that unit is a few pounds low on freon and requires a top up. Even their technician said it was unfair to charge the second service charge. The loose pin was were the technicians manifold gauge attaches and immediately noticed that that was where the small leak was coming from. On that Monday following service call they agreed to return to top up the unit and only charge time and materials. But they said they needed to generate a quote and I asked them how much the fan control would cost, they said they needed to check. Then 4 days later they sent a quote which was way too much money. Then called me several times to get me to accept the quote. I refused the quote price, and asked then just for the top up at which point they told me it was only a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Basically wanting to charge me two service calls plus freon. This is clear outright example of a business who has low morals and is obviously only interested in ripping people off
