The repair we did to the window was for broken glassThe customers window was broken by their large dogThe repair to the window did not involve the two latches on the sides of the window In our opinion, the latches may have been broken by the force of the dog striking the windowOur installer went back up after the repaired window glass was installed to see the problemHe would have been happy to fix it AT THAT TIME but the little clip parts are no longer available and the client does not know who the window manufacturer isEven though we do not accept responsibility for this issue, because of the damage done by their dog, he still tried to repairWe did not understand the issue until he went back upSince our contention is the breakage was not done by our repair to the glass, we are not responsible for the little latches.Also, the window still functions , with the latches working by just pushing on themAlthough I regret their small problem, I do not feel it is our responsibility[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint It looks like we will just have to leave this case as unresolvedI am very disappointed with the customer service at S.G.Oand would not recommend them to anyoneThe window has panes, and the outside pane was brokenThe window is right behind the couch, and the dog would sit on the couch and look out the windowMy wife saw that the window was broken and blamed the dogI did not think it was the dog because the inside pane of glass was fine, but the outside pane of glass was brokenHow could you hit a window from the inside, and have the outside pane break but not the inside? *** also agreed when he came over and looked at the windowHe did not believe that the dog broke the window, so I am not sure why he is saying that the dog now broke the window? He said that he thought a bird or something had hit it from the outside
The clips were not broken by the dog, and they were perfectly fine when S.G.Otook the window awayWhen the window broken, I used the clips to pop the window out and tape the glass on the outside paneThe window popped back in fine with no issueWhen *** came out to look at it, he also popped the window out and it popped back in just fineI am not a window expert, but I would think that if *** was one, and the clips were broken he would have said something about them, yet he said nothing, because they were not brokenThe point that I have been trying to explain to S.G.Ofor over three months is that the clips on the window were perfectly fine when they took it away, and when they brought it back the clips were brokenI realize that your installer is not sure how it happenedHe told me that he did not know much about those types of windows and pulled the frame apart how he was taughtSo it sounds like he is not an expert of that type of window, and possibly broke the clips, and now the owner of S.G.O is making excuses because he does not want to take responsibilityIf you go back to *** first response when I opened this case, it shows how he continues to make up excuses that are untrueFirst saying that I was talking about a different window, and now blaming it on the dog?
Here is what he first said:
“The window that we worked on is not the window which the client is referring toIt is the window next to it which we did nothing withThe gentleman that removed and reinstalled their window is a sub-contractor who does not work for us directlyMy understanding is that he was trying to be nice and see if he could fix their other window for them if possible and if he could he would charge them separately to do thisBut he was unable to find parts to do itSo he charged them nothingWe at SGO did not work on this window in question”
In *** last post, he says “Even though we do not accept responsibility for this issue, because of the damage done by their dog, he still tried to repair.” They never tried to repair itI called for months before the installer would even come outI talked to *** many timesShe would tell me she would call me back and never wouldThen she told me the installer would be there one night and he never showedThen finally the installer comes and says there is nothing he can doHow is that trying to repair it?
I fell that they are responsible and have made excuse after excuse to not fix itMy wife called them first when we had the issue, and she gave up because from the start they did not take responsibilityThey should have sent someone out here that week when my wife first calledInstead, it took over months and numerous calls just to get someone out hereI agree with *** that the latches do work by pushing them into place, but the point is I paid almost $for a piece of glass, and I expect to get my window back the way I gave it to themThey broke the window, and now will not take responsibilityI will be updating consumer websites with this information so they can be aware of the lousy customer service that S.G.Oprovides

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint It took over a month to get the installer to come out after numerous calls and talking to ***And then I was basically told that they are not sure how it happened and there was nothing they could do to fix itBut it was fine when they took the window to fix the glassI tried to get *** to help, but it seemed like she was not going to help and was trying to avoid me, especially when she would not call me back when she said she wouldAnd this happened many timesPlease let me know if you need any other information from me

We at SGO did not work on this window in question. So the complaint is not valid. Obviously no refund is due.Thank you,[redacted]
