Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: There's a reason I was angry - I just spent $at your shop for a repair that lasted me miles Then had to pay for a tow truck, AND FINALLY had to pay to have the repair re-done for $at *** When I came back to you for a refund, you told me no and to leave the store Pretty sure if you had offered me a refund I wouldn't have been so angry The alternator Cars Complete placed into my car lasted less than a mile before my car died on the side of the road and I was forced to have it towed and pay out of pocket If the mechanic from Cars Complete had properly tested the part, the charging system and his repair before turning the car back over to me, this never would have happened That's why I didn't want to return to Cars Complete to have them work on my car Furthermore, once at the dealership [redacted] deemed the alternator that Cars Complete installed (which was remanufactured and I was not made aware you'd be using a remanufactured alternator) bad after several rounds of testing and more money spent to diagnose this issue When I went back into Cars Complete with all my paperwork and the old alternator, I was told that [redacted] does not provide refunds on parts or labor, that there was no way for you to test the alternator and that I was not going to be getting any type of refund for this problem [redacted] from Cars Complete raised his voice to me in the waiting room and exhibited what I would call complete unprofessionalism before he tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about I'm sure if this same situation happened to ***, he'd be angry too The fact of the matter is I paid for a part that was bad and lasted miles and I paid for labor to install a part that was never properly checked before returning the car to me The service was below sub-par and a quick refund to me on site would have alleviated any issues You should stand behind your parts and your labor and if something goes wrong you make it right That's what a good, reputable business does I received no voice mails from anyone at Cars Complete and frankly after the way I was treated I'd never want to deal with any of you again Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:We also had a brand new drive shaft and shocks on the vehicleIt had just been to a reputable shop the month prior and was in good condition other than low oilA drive shaft that is new has no gouges or scrapes in it as the truck is very high and drive shafts get unbalanced if they get gouges in themAfter picking up the truck it was evident that the truck has been taken out four wheeling or driven extremely roughlyIn addition to the back bumper damage and someone else's paint transfer on it, and the sheared off bolts (thatbtheyboffwred to CHARGE us to replace) and the irreparable damage to the transmission rendering the truck useless, a brand new drive shaft was also scraped up it is obvious the shops' employees or owner took the truck out for a rough drive, and then still charged us $for a part that was now useless in an undrivable truck that drove well prior to taking it hereWe have spoken to the DA who advised that we need only file our report on this company and there will be an investigation Be advised that this is our next step since attempting to resolve it amicably and allowing the company to do the right thing and save face only with met with refusal to take responsibility and oppositionWe will then pursue legal action for damages in addition to the legal investigation into this matter.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I tried to return the original part the first time I came in there and you said no, that it wasn't warrantied and that *** doesn't refund on parts or labor I'm not going to hand you any parts until I know the refund is processed At that time I will certify delivery/courier the part over to your shop
Sincerely,

I left two messages, bring the old part in and ill refund you. The first message was about a half hour after you stormed out of here yelling at us from your car. Like I told you when you came in accusing us of not checking our work,  I would have to find out how the warranty works since you took it to [redacted].

Total lie. All I told her after she was accusing us of not checking was that we did double check after repair to make sure alternator was charging, and that I had to call the warranty company because I didn't know how to handle the warranty process because she went to a [redacted] dealer ,not a...

[redacted] where the warranty would have been handled at no charge. NEVER said "get out". She was acting like a very angry individual. If the part did fail, it certainly wasn't anything we did wrong. I also left her two messages that I was able to refund her but that she needs to bring the old part back to us for credit!

I am rejecting this response because:  There's a reason I was angry - I just spent $409 at your shop for a repair that lasted me 0.8 miles.  Then had to pay for a tow truck, AND FINALLY had to pay to have the repair re-done for $515 at [redacted].  When I came back to you for a refund, you told me no and to leave the store.  Pretty sure if you had offered me a refund I wouldn't have been so angry.  The alternator Cars Complete placed into my car lasted less than a mile before my car died on the side of the road and I was forced to have it towed and pay out of pocket.  If the mechanic from Cars Complete had properly tested the part, the charging system and his repair before turning the car back over to me, this never would have happened.  That's why I didn't want to return to Cars Complete to have them work on my car.  Furthermore, once at the dealership [redacted] deemed the alternator that Cars Complete installed (which was remanufactured and I was not made aware you'd be using a remanufactured alternator) bad after several rounds of testing and more money spent to diagnose this issue.  When I went back into Cars Complete with all my paperwork and the old alternator, I was told that [redacted] does not provide refunds on parts or labor, that there was no way for you to test the alternator and that I was not going to be getting any type of refund for this problem.  [redacted] from Cars Complete raised his voice to me in the waiting room and exhibited what I would call complete unprofessionalism before he tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about.   I'm sure if this same situation happened to [redacted], he'd be angry too.  The fact of the matter is I paid for a part that was bad and lasted 0.8 miles and I paid for labor to install a part that was never properly checked before returning the car to me.  The service was below sub-par and a quick refund to me on site would have alleviated any issues.  You should stand behind your parts and your labor and if something goes wrong you make it right.  That's what a good, reputable business does.  I received no voice mails from anyone at Cars Complete and frankly after the way I was treated I'd never want to deal with any of you again.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
