On September 19ththe customer came into the dealership concerned about the check engine light was on.We found multiple codes. In order to correct a code,we had to reset them all,and told the customer to drive until the light came back on,(assuming that we don't receive multiple codes again)and then come back to the dealership to repair it.(meaning that the car was still under warranty.)We received a registered letter from the customer regarding the check engine light being on.Car For Less has tried on several occasions to call this customer, but he has failed to respond to our call.On October 13th,the customer came to the dealership asking for the registration and the smog certificate which was provided to him.Customer mentioned that he wanted to talk to the smog shop about this vehicle falsely got smog?? The customer complained about the check engine light and the gas mileage of the vehicle. He mentioned that his vehicle has been inspected at another repair shop and that the catalytic converter and Osensors were bad.We asked the customer to provide the paper work from that repair shop and to leave the car with us for the repair. He said that he was going to talk to his attorney and good luck with thatAs a small used car dealership,We understand our responsibility and we always stand to serve our client

This has been partially resolved the dealer had me pick up the parts at the dealer and take it to a mechanic last Friday 11/18/2016 they replaced the sensors, but they got the wrong catalytic converter I am waiting to get that probably this week, and the company has stepped up and fixed the issue. Thank you, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not satisfied with their response for a couple of reasons they did initially reset the check engine light, When it was possible for me to get it scanned again I did and went back to the dealer [redacted]'s response to me was that the catalytic converters are not part of the motor or transmission and we could help me get a discount on them but that they were not liable and were not going to cover it. that is when I told him I'll see you in court, however I wanted to get the information out before I file an action as this is totally unacceptable.

To Whom It May Concern,
Ms. [redacted] gave her vehicle back before we received this letter.  All of our cars are sold as is with no warranty. We encourage and recommend that each and every customer before purchasing their vehicle take it to a mechanic because they are used vehicles....

When Ms. [redacted] called we told her she would have to take the vehicle to a mechanic because we do not work on customer vehicles. We do expect our customers to pay for there vehicles even when it is in the shop. Again the customer called us and said to pick the car up at the auto shop that she did not want or will be paying for the vehicle anymore so when the vehicle is fixed we will pick it up.For further information please contact our office.

On 3/25/2014 when he called I looked on Etaps for title status it was issued on 3/24/2014 and let him know it should be mailed to within the week. On Saturday 29 we received it in the mail on Monday 3/31/2014 I did his title application for title. April 01 I called and left message for Mr. [redacted] to pick up his title work that he had to come in person himself because he had to sign the back of the title as well as sign stating he himself picked up the title. I also explained in these phone conversation we rarely have this to happen that in fact if it did go over his 30day I would try to get him an extent ion for his tag since it was our error not his. Thanks[redacted]
