With respect to the allegations set forth in the complaint made by *** L *** it is our position and always has been our position , to exchange Mr***'s vehicle for anotherThis process is known as trading in the presently owned vehicle and purchasing anotherBased on the value of the
said vehicle versus the amount owed to the lender it would require Mr*** to put money downThis was offered to Mr*** on various occasions and resulted in him not desiring any of the vehicles in our inventory nor did he desire to put money downMr*** did in fact report issues with the vehicleThese issues were resolved accordinglyThe dealership also made repairs and/or adjustments to the vehicle that were beyond the scope of the used vehicle warranty he receivedWhen Mr*** advised us about the smoke coming from the exhaust he was referred to a repair facility that services our customersAccording to our repair facility and the conditions of the used car warranty it is necessary to remove the top part of the motor in order to determine the cause of concernThis is called a "teardown"A teardown is the responsibility of the customer to cover the cost which usually runs approximately $Once determined that the defect is a covered item, the cost of the teardown is covered by the warranty and results in no out of pocket expense to the consumerConcerned about the possibility of paying for a teardown Mr*** chose not to teardown the motor and revisited the dealer in an attempt to exchange/trade in vehicleOnce again Mr*** did not want to put money downIt is the intention of the dealer to satisfy every single customer that we serviceUnfortunately we cannot please everyone. Respectfully Submitted, *** ***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: In response to Mr. [redacted], I was sold a defective vehicle that failed inspection due to visible smoke coming from the exhaust.  I was in possession of the vehicle less than ninety days before it became Immobile. Mr. [redacted] is not being honest about the extended warranty he provided to me, which was later found to be invalid. When confronted with the matter, Mr.Hiram [redacted] admitted to not properly submitting the warranty. I have proof of documents for which I showed Mr. [redacted] regarding the failed inspection and full diagnostic perform by BMW technicians.  I incurred a charge of $166.01 from BMW of Freehold. They determined that the (white smoke) was related to repairs needed to the engine.  The cost including labor and repairs estimated $14,000. Mr. [redacted] did in fact offer me to look at his inventory. As the saying goes “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” Intelligently, no one in their right mind would be interested nor inclined to purchase a vehicle from (CARS ON ROUTE 21). Especially after the complications I have experienced dealing with the management. On December 27, 2015 my vehicle became disabled; only this time I was on the highway of 1&9. My daughter was accompanying me as a rear passenger.  I was frightened that we would get into an accident on the highway. Luckily the police came to the scene shortly after and my vehicle was towed to my residence.  From that point forward my vehicle continuously had to be jump started in order to drive.  On January 21, 2016 I took my vehicle to BMW of Bloomfield for a full diagnostic testing.  I incurred a charge of $155.15 from BMW of Bloomfield. The findings are as follows:  Alternator bracket leaking, Vacuum Pump, Upper timing case cover leaking, Mechatronic sleeve along with transmission pan.  It was recommended by the technician’s to not drive the vehicle due to severe engine leakage.  The estimated cost for labor and repairs $16,887 (not including engine repairs). I had my vehicle towed to my residence where it has been stationed since January 22, 2016. I am still paying my finance loan of $446.00 for a defective vehicle that is no longer able to be driven.
Respectfully submitted,
[redacted].  [redacted]
