I am responding to the complaint about our business. ID [redacted]. Enclosed
you will find copies of the situation between Cars'R' Us and [redacted].
He purchased the vehicle February 28, 2012, not March 3, 2010 as he stated in his
complaint. He tagged the...

vehicle June 29, 2012.
He did not pay his payments in a timely manner, resulting in late charges and vehicle
having to be repossessed not once, but twice.
Garage bills were added to his balance that he said he would come back in and
pay and didn't so we had to add to his balance on vehicle.
Someone living close to purchaser of vehicle, saw him at [redacted] Produce
getting ready to have vehicle crushed, called me and I called police and deputy
called [redacted] Produce and told them not to crush vehicle. We then had to
pay $150.00 to have it brought to my car lot on September 12, 2014.

Review: I purchased a car from this dealership almost 4 months ago. In that time I have not had my car at all. The day that I purchased it, the transmission went out of it. They have had it since that day. They said that they were fixing my car and every time that I call them, they say that they are still working on it and nothing more. I need my car for schooling and work purposes. The family member that I live with is also going under a lot of medical treatment, leaving me to be the only other driver in the home. We do not have the money to pay us to take us the places we need to go. This is an urgent matter to my family.Desired Settlement: I would like them to either finish the car and make sure that it is working, or I would like them to replace my car and please make sure that it works.

Cars R Us Re:[redacted] Mae Buchanan ID# [redacted] To whom it may concern, Regarding the complaint from [redacted] we feel we have tried to help her with her problems. There are a lot of things we feel are twisted around. The Customer came in on 08/13/2013 and ask to purchase a car on a payment schedule. She informed the salesman she had only an old car that was unsafe to drive for a down payment. We explained we are not a buy here pay here lot. From time to time we will do a buy here pay here to help someone having problems to try and help them out. But again we do not do on the lot financeing on most of our vehicles because of the high risk involved. Such as someone wrecking or having a mechanical problem. If something like this happens they want to bring the broken car back here and stop making their payments. From time to time you find someone as we have here that wants to drive the car and get a refund when something wears out or breaks. We told her we had a 1998 Acura Cl She Could have for $3500,00 with no intrest charges. We gave her $1500.00 for her old car and told her she would have to come up with $500.00 cash as her old car was only a parts car. She contacted The Social Services and they paid the $500.00 for her. The only fee we charged her was a $195.00 Processing fee for the office staff to keep up with the extra book work to be paid as her last payment.(All vehicles are sold as-is this is explained verbaly and they must sign an As-Is Before leaving the lot) Appx 3 Days later she called the salesman and said the car would not move we sent our rollback out at no charge brought the car here removed a bad transmission within 1 day. As can be understood we can not buy her a new transmission in excess of $2000.00 when we have only recived around $800.00 -$900.00 total on this car thus far. We have tried to find a used transmission but it has taken a while as Acura transmissions are rare. We want the car fixed as bad as she does as it has a bay in our garage blocked. We had intended to help her with the repair but we are not magic. We purchased a transmission Wed. Nov 6th. but it was the wrong year. If she desires to have the car repaired faster she will need to take it to another garage.(All vehicles are sold as-is this is explained verbaly and they must sign an As-Is Before leaving the lot.) I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was not satisfied with this response for the reason that I have waited almost 5 months for my car to be fixed, or replaced. I have not been able to make appointments and other things that I have needed to do without paying someone to take me. I now have a job that I can not miss, I also have my college courses that I can not miss. Regards,[redacted]

Review: I purchased a Ford F-150 from here and the truck frame was broke and an inspection sticker was issued for the vehicle by Cars R Us and when the issue was addressed the company welded the frame together and charged for the repairs done. The truck payments where paid in full and the vehicle title was never received and then the vehicle was repossessed for labor and towing cost.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a full refund of the amount that was paid on the vehicle due to the fact that the issues with it could not be fixed permanently and would always be defective.
