Review: A few months ago I was $8.00 past due for a previous bi-weekly payment and then 1 bi-weekly payment behind. I owed $175.00 and my payment was due on a Friday and the dealership came to my house on that Wednesday and repossessed the vehicle for $175.00 past due for only 5 days past the due date. When I called I asked if I paid the $175.00 the manager told me "Not with the attitude you are giving me". I said you have to understand that I am upset that your company took my vehicle for 5 Days past due for $175.00. He tried to charge me $175.00 plus an additional bi-weekly payment that was not due yet and then he tried to charge me the repossession fees when he did not even have my vehicle towed he sent a coworker out with a key. The only reason I knew someone took my vehicle is because my neighbors thought someone stole it because of how shady they came and got it. Needless to say I paid to get the vehicle back.

Now the last few bi-weekly payments I made online on their website that Monday early morning and then their company calls me and tells me my payment is late/due and when I tell them that I made the payment online a few hours before they proceed to tell me that "Oh they must not have ran the payments yet". Dont you think common sense business practice you run payments that came in on the website that Sunday and Monday morning when you open your business before you start calling and harassing customers for a payment??

My vehicle has also had the check engine light on right after the warrenty went out and they refused to do anything about it. This place is a scam and have horrible business ethics as well as collection and repo ethics.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter of apology for their harassment and I would also like them to change their policy for collection and repo policy. I would also like them to fix what is wrong with my vehicle for free since I have made numerous complaints with no responses.

Response:

Dear Sirs:

In response to [redacted]. [redacted], without getting into particular details of her account with Cars2Credit, I can specifically state that the description of events and severity/history of her account status is "WHOLLY" inaccurate. We, as a Sales Finance Company, maintain standards and protocol for attempting to collect a debt, as any Lienholder does. When efforts to collect fail and customers refuse/ignore those attempts, ultimateiy the loss of communication and control will lead to possible repossession, in regard to service issues, a one-year warranty was offered and accepted at time of purchase. Service issues are never convenient or timely. Certainly, I feel no responsibility for a "check engine" light, which occurs 13 months after purchase.
