Bought a Harley over 6 weeks ago and cannot get them to send the registration to ** state so we can ride the bike.My husband bought a Harley on August 13, 2015. The dealership forgot to give him his travel pass to legally ride his bike back to ** state. When he returned home, we started calling the dealership to find out when they were going to send the registration paperwork to ** so that we could register the bike. We were told they would send it in 30-45 days. We asked what we were supposed to do in the interim. [redacted] told us he would overnight a travel pass and email me the paperwork to cancel the warranty that my husband had opted for. When my husband purchased his bike, they put a larger windshield on it for free. They accidentally added the windshield onto the financing. When he mentioned it to them, they gave him a gift card for $180 and guaranteed him that we could use it in ** state. When we tried to use it in **, we were told that gift cards are only good at the store that gave it to you. So, we are paying a finance charge on the $180 plus we cannot use the gift card that they gave us.The headlights on the bike did not work correctly. When my husband asked them about it, they said the headlights worked fine. When he returned home and took the bike to the Harley dealership in Lacey, **, he found out that the headlights did not work correctly and he had to spend $100 on new bulbs.Four days later, no travel pass or email. Called for 3 days before I was told that the managers were out of town. Was finally sent to another salesman who overnighted a 10 day travel pass to us.Today, September 28, 2015, after calling the dealership I don't know how many times and putting in 3 complaints with Harley Davidson complaint department, I finally spoke with [redacted] in finance who informed me that she had not done anything with our paperwork because she had been waiting for us to get her the DOL address (which we had left twice already!). She also informed us that we should not have been charged NV sales tax (which my husband had questioned at time of purchase). Therefore, it would take longer and she did not know how long before she could send the paperwork because she had to get a total with a check for the sales tax.She tried to make it sound like it was our fault even though I had left the address with [redacted] and [redacted] both. Now, we still don't know when the registration will make it to ** state and we still cannot ride the bike.Desired SettlementI want the paperwork sent to ** DOL, the $180 that we were charged for the windshield that was supposed to be free refunded and an apology and accoutability on their end of the errors that were made.

I brought my 2003 XLH 883 custom Harley Davidson to the Carson City Harley Davidson dealership (9/29/13) it had a problem such as when it was ridden and after the bike got warm it was hard starting (backfiring and taking multiple tries to start)they said the bike would be fixed after the following: complete carb rebuild witch cost me ($313.90) a safety check (90.00) R&R rear brake pads ($104.99) D&R primary chain ADJ. (45.00) primary oil change ($64.94) reroute of front brake ($46.99) item total was ($170.82) labor total was ($495.00) with a complete total including tax was ($692.92) I was offered the bike back (10/10/13) I picked up the bike assured that it was running correctly drove it home to find out that the same problem still occurred. I called the dealership explained that they had not fixed the problem . they told me they would pick it up the next day to have another look at it (10/11/13) they called only a few days later and told me they found the problem and it would take them awhile to get the proper part (ignition mod) (10/26/13) they informed me they got the part installed it and it fixed the problem and to come and retrieve the bike along with paying for the new part. when I showed up I hadn't even got to pay for the new part when the bike was tried to start and backfired. an employee said that it might be that the bike is just cold so he said to take it out for a test drive before paying I did, only to find out that my motorcycle ran worse then it ever had before ( no power, backfiring, and continuously wanting to stall) now it is in the dealership for the third time. thank you for reading sincerely, upset customerProduct_Or_Service: Harley Davidson motorcycle service 9/29/13Desired SettlementI would like refund back that that I feel the dealership just threw parts on my motorcycle and making me pay for them that they felt would hopefully fix the problem I would also like my bike to be fixed properly
