I was late paying my storage fees, paid them in full along with the late fee on Saturday, November 8, 2014. When my wife and I went to the unit on Monday, November 10, 2014, the facility had their lock on my unit and my wife and I could not get in. When my wife went to the office, during business hours, no one was there nor a sign stating when someone would be back. I called the office number, got the answering service and they sent someone named [redacted] to take their lock off. When [redacted] came to the unit to take the lock off, I was on my cell phone to a Legal Asst. asking for some help, not knowing if the lock was going to be off or not and I needed to get into my unit. After [redacted] took the lock off, I was still on my cell with this person, I told [redacted], (nicely, two witnesses) that two extra days should be added to our unit time since they didn't take the lock off Saturday after all the fees were paid, the lock could still have been on if we hadn't of gone on Monday. [redacted] said "don't come over here and start st", "I'll think about the two days". [redacted] is a large male and I said "okay", he turned around came back at me. I thought for sure he was going to harm me. The Legal Asst. I was on the phone with called him and asked to speak with [redacted], who is the manager and [redacted] said she was off that day (Monday). In less than an hour, I received a text, from [redacted] who was supposedly off, that our lease was terminated and we were to be out by November 20th. I have paid thru November 22nd. When the Legal Asst. called [redacted] and asked why we had received the lease termination from [redacted] when she wasn't working, he hung up on her.Product_Or_Service: Storage unit rentalDesired SettlementAll I want is two days of storage fees refunded, since we have to be out the 20th when we are paid thru the 22nd, due to the lock still being on two days after payment was received. I am fearful that [redacted] will either harm me, my family or property while moving out of the facility or that he will vandalize the unit and say we did it cause they made us move out of the unit. We just want to get our property out, SAFELY, and move on. He threatens to hurt me as I'm on the phone with my attorney and doesn't care. This man or I should say boy cause of how childish he acts should not be allowed to deal with customers as he will do this again. I'm still looking for the owners info as I'm going to be filing a small claims case do to the fact I had to miss work to deal with all this and the harassment by [redacted] the facility's manager. I have already contacted my attorney and he is the one who advised me to do so.
