Carson Medical Group-Family Practice

Before I made my appointment with the Doctor at the medical group I called to make sure my insurance was on their list. They said that it was, and I was covered. I even double checked when I checked in with the Doctors office. Then I received a bill, telling me I was not covered by my insurance there. Carson Medical Group does not typically confirm network information, but rather directs patients to their plan. This is also stated in our Office Policy, which is signed by every patient at their establishing visit. Carson Medical Group no longer utilizes outside collection services, so any unpaid balance is left on the patient account and with remain a bad debt until patient contacts us for care at which time they will still be responsible for past due balances. We will not pursue bad-debt past initial collection efforts
