Agency has been contacted on several occasions regarding posting of payments that have been verified by my bank. Representative from agency stated payment has been received and will reflect on next statement. Called and spoke with supervisor, stating still a balance due. No resolution. Posted 2 of three payments to account. Still stating balance due. Documentation has been received by bank stating who was contacted and date of contact. Unsavory collection practices. Nv State Attny generals office has received complaint as wellDesired SettlementSettlement of account. Apply payment to account as requested to resolve. This brings account to a zero balance.

Several years ago I needed healthcare services from Carson Tahoe Health, the nearest hospital to us in Carson City, Nevada. Several weeks after I received services from them I got a statement of charges from them that said in bold print "This is not a Bill." Less than two weeks later I got a notice from a collections agency advising that my Carson Tahoe Health account had been turned over to them and to make arrangements to pay my hospital bill with them. just today my wife got a notice in the mail from a collections agency advising that her account had also been turned over to collections (She also got this notice before she actually received a bill from them.). I called the billing department of Carson Tahoe Healtha year or so ago and asked them why my account had been turned over to collections before we had even received a bill from them. Their response was that they "turn all accounts over to collections." My concerns: This is a horrible way to treat your customers because having an account turned over to collections reflects badly on my credit. After all efforts have been exhausted in attempt to collect from our patients, accounts are eligible for bad debt and outsourced to a collection agency. After reviewing the account referenced in this complaint for patient [redacted], statements were sent to the patient on 08/07/15, 10/05/15, 10/29/15, and 12/02/15. On 01/20/16, payment for this account was received in full and account is now resolved. There are no other balances outstanding for [redacted] or [redacted]. Both patients are welcome to contact me for further clarification of this process and to ensure an excellent patient experience.
