Carson Valley Auto Sales Reviews (1)

We bought a 06 Suzuki Reno from [redacted] Valley Auto Sales on 2-14-14. Approx 4 weeks later, the car overheated driving from [redacted] to [redacted]. We had no warning. Indicator in the dash did not alert us the car was hot. We took the car to our mechanic at [redacted] Automotive shortly after. He ran tests, took test drives and couldn't pinpoint the source of the overheating. Our mechanic gave the car back w/ instructions to keep a close eye on it to see if it overheated again. Approx 2 days later, the car overheated. We took the car to Carson Valley Auto Sales, told the salesman this was the 2nd time the car overheated. We let him know that our mechanic at [redacted] couldn't find the source of the overheating. The salesman told us to take the car to [redacted] for a second opinion. [redacted] inspected the car and found the surge tank was cracked. [redacted] reached out to [redacted]. Both mechanics at both shops agreed it would be a good idea for [redacted] to take another look at the car as they agreed the cooling fan and surge tank should be replaced. [redacted] gave the car to [redacted]. After we picked up our repaired car, it overheated again. We took the car back to the [redacted] and they found the head gasket was cracked/ blown. We contacted Carson Valley Auto Sales who said they wanted a second opinion. At their request we took the car to Auto Trans & confirmed the head gasket needed repair. When we told Carson Valley Auto Sales that now 2 mechanics confirmed it needed repair, they said the mechanics were wrong. Carson Valley Auto Sales asked me to bring the car in. We left it w/ them overnight. The salesman wanted to put a liquid in the car to 'fix' the head gasket. I told him it was a bad idea. He accused me of causing the head gasket problem. I was upset, cried, left the car there and drove home with my husband in his car. The salesman put the liquid in the car. We picked up the car later that day. They are refusing to fix the head gasket.Product_Or_Service: 2006 Suzuki RenoAccount_Number: Loan for [redacted]Desired SettlementI have been told by my regular mechanic that the fluid used by the car salesman to fix my cracked/blown head gasket will not fix the problem. The fluid used will only cause more problems to the car's heating and cooling systems in the future. At this point I would like either a full refund or the option of a replacement vehicle (to be thoroughly examined by my mechanic.)
