[redacted] came to CARSTAR Miramichi on March 21,2016.The truck looked to have a fair bit of damage as it went off...

the road and cut off a telephone pole. [redacted] wanted this vehicle to be deemed a total loss and I do understand his reasons for that (trade in value, possibility of problems down the road etc.)We as the repair facility can only guarantee that the work and craftsmanship from our shop is done properly and the vehicle is put back to pre-accident condition. We do not make the decisions on deeming vehicles repairable or as total loss. On this particular claim, an independent appraiser was sent out to look at this vehicle and deemed the vehicle repairable on his initial estimate. Our estimate that was done here at CARSTAR also showed the vehicle was repairable. When both estimates were done on this vehicle, it was noted that there may be additional damages or as we call it hidden damages and parts price changes that will occur at the end of this repair.This applies to every repair when a vehicle is completed and file is closed and finalized. We the repair shop communicate between the independent appraiser and the insurance company for weeks and sometimes months to complete and justify any additional damages and costs. No matter what repair is ever taken on by CARSTAR Miramichi; we are extremely particular at putting every vehicle back on the road to pre- accident condition with the safety of our customers in mind. If there is ever a warranty issue, we have a complete detailed file with photos and supporting invoices on this vehicle covering all repairs completed.. Additional amounts to repairs would be Towing, clean up of accident, rental, and replacement of telephone Pole(NB Power),Landscaping, cost to personal property etc. which increases the amount of the actual insurance claim; however does no reflect the damages that were claimed to the vehicle. We went above and beyond on this claim for [redacted] supplying them with a vehicle loaner when rental days expired due to the customer hesitating to sign a work authorization form for 2 to 3 weeks. We require this form signed to begin repairs on any vehicle being repaired. Additionally we absorbed the costs of depreciation and the deductible which would normally be the customers responsibility. We do have a completed file and warranty which is readily available at any time to the owner of the vehicle. All guidelines were followed by the repair shop, independent appraiser and insurance on this file. Thanks for your time.

Why would they give a invoice stating the repeirs to the truck were [redacted]

On the day of.pick up.not saying the repais wearnt acceptable. They were !!!
First off.my truck is worth as much now as it was broke up
Second off we were never notified about the exta amount of work to the truck
Any repairs to the truck at or above [redacted] would have wrote it off. Now finding out from carproof it was $[redacted]. for the repairs.
My issue was at first the equity of my vechial is not there. Where it should be after the repairs. And we cant trade it in for a truck with bigger rear doors for our family.
On all fairness im driveing something that shouldnt have a vin#. Om really spending countles amounts of money fr something thats not worth anything.
So asfar as the billing actiity which is fraud.and is against the law!!!why should I have an invoice stating different repairs.ect.and as fare as the warranty goes im happy with his saport.
So how much of the [redacted] covers my invoice of repairs for [redacted].a porshion. ???
My worry was the eqity I lost in my truck.
The bill aspect was cought along the way !!
I can go ferther with this billing thing if needed .then we can get into me explaning insurance fraud.another can of worms!!!
My complaint is its wrote of!
Im very unhappy that this could happen .
Its a [redacted] thatworth as much as the paper its name is wrote on.

So whats with the invoice to me for [redacted] for ???
And when you look at the repairs to the truck there alot different.
Why wernt we given the invoice for [redacted]??
Mine has frame strighting hrs but the two sent to economical in surance only has a set up and mesure. Nothing on it about fram straightning !!
