I am rejecting this response because: Per the latest response from the business, I would like to reiterate that I did offer the business the list of issues the certified mechanic identified The business owner told me that he did not want to see the mechanic's list because he had his own mechanic In addition, the business indicates I did not want to accept the goodwill efforts he was willing to offer to resolve the issue That is not a true statement After the first certified mechanic identified the leaking head gaskets, I took the car back to the business owner to have them repair the head gaskets The business owner indicated his mechanic said it wasn't the head gaskets but some other issue that they fixed I took them at their word and was satisfied at that point because the car ran However, a week later the car did not run This time I took to a second certified mechanic He again told me the head gaskets were leaking Along with a whole list of safety issues, that once again, the business owner did not accept my offer to review Thus, you can understand why I would not trust the business owner's mechanic and give him another chance to fix the issues The trust had been broken and it made no sense to have the business repair and then have to take it to another mechanic to confirm the repairs were actually completed Thus, I am still seeking a monetary payment for the time and money I have put into the car to recoup some of the money I lost when I had to sell I still seek $in the form of a check, mailed to my homeAgain, I would like to restate that the business owner wants to give the impression they are offering to do all they can to satisfy the customer, but in all honesty they are not truthful and do not fix the issues As evident from the one time I gave them the chance to fix the leaking head gaskets I am a little disenchanted the business owner had the Revdex.com rating they had In the future, I will not take the Revdex.com rating as a sign of the true nature of the business Regards, [redacted] ***

In regards to *** *** complaint, Cars Under would like to reply with the following: The Customer test drove the car and decided that it would be fineBy the customers own admission the car was sold but as we always have with any issue we offered to help and do goodwill repairs for
herWe repaired the car and when it left the dealership it was running fineThe customer contacted us about a charging issue with the car and again was told that she could bring it here and we would help out even though this was a completely different issue than what her complaint is aboutA battery or an altenator can go bad at any time, but once again we did offer to help out but the customer decided to go elsewhereCustomer satisfaction is our number goal which is evident because we have resolved all issues in the past and have no complaints pendingIn order to continue with this goal Cars Under would like to offer a resolution to this issueCars Under would like to buy the car back for $as we have invested parts and labor time in the vehicleThe original purchase price of this vehicle was $1,

Mr. [redacted] purchased a truck on July 18th under the pretense that he was working and could provide proof of employment. When the bank contacted his employer they were told that Mr. [redacted] was no longer employed there and that he had not been employed there since July 8th 10 days prior to the...

delivery of the truck. Cars Under 5 tried many times to contact Mr. [redacted] by the phone number he provided and received no response, therefore in order to protect our investment we had to send a recovery agent to find the truck. Mr. [redacted] asked for a refund on a down payment of $850 but Cars Under 5 shows no record of him making any down payment nor can he provide a receipt showing that he did. Due to Mr. [redacted]'s deceptive actions throughout the whole process and the fact that there is no evidence of a down payment, Cars under 5 did not honor his request.

I am rejecting this response because: Per the latest response from the business, I would like to reiterate that I did offer the business the list of issues the certified mechanic identified.  The business owner told me that he did not want to see the mechanic's list because he had his own mechanic.  In addition, the business indicates I did not want to accept the goodwill efforts he was willing to offer to resolve the issue.  That is not a true statement.  After the first certified mechanic identified the leaking head gaskets, I took the car back to the business owner to have them repair the head gaskets.  The business owner indicated his mechanic said it wasn't the head gaskets but some other issue that they fixed.  I took them at their word and was satisfied at that point because the car ran.  However, a week later the car did not run.  This time I took to a second certified mechanic.  He again told me the head gaskets were leaking.  Along with a whole list of safety issues, that once again, the business owner did not accept my offer to review.  Thus, you can understand why I would not trust the business owner's mechanic and give him another chance to fix the issues.  The trust had been broken and it made no sense to have the business repair and then have to take it to another mechanic to confirm the repairs were actually completed.  Thus, I am still seeking a monetary payment for the time and money I have put into the car to recoup some of the money I lost when I had to sell.  I still seek $150 in the form of a check, mailed to my home. Again, I would like to restate that the business owner wants to give the impression they are offering to do all they can to satisfy the customer, but in all honesty they are not truthful and do not fix the issues.  As evident from the one time I gave them the chance to fix the leaking head gaskets.  I am a little disenchanted the business owner had the Revdex.com rating they had.  In the future, I will not take the Revdex.com rating as a sign of the true nature of the business.

Due to the fact that Ms.[redacted] has sold the vehicle and refused all goodwill that was offered to her and the fact that we were not offered a chance to verify the "safety issues" that she claims nor did she communicate them to us, Cars Under 5 considers this complaint to be invalid and a non issue. As was stated before Cars Under 5 strives to keep customer satisfaction our number 1 goal, but when we are not allowed the opportunity to rectify the situation we feel the issue is out of our control and rests now with the customer.Kind regards,Cars Under 5

We have read the consumer complaint and although we are not in agreement with the clients account of what happened, we are willing to work with her to resolve this matter. Please have her contact me personally so that I can help her purchase this vehicle. Thank you,
