Vehicle has a failed transmission Vehicle currently has 119,miles, has been driven 23,miles since purchased by customer, 12,miles since previous transmission repair in July of Customer was informed (at the time that the dealership was made aware of the problem) that the repair would be done at no cost to the customer Additionally, a loaner vehicle has been provided (as it was during previous repair)
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meHowever I wish to keep this case open until the vehicle is repaired and I receive the final bill for services As of this afternoon I have not received the vehicle back from Carter and therefore cannot verify that this is truly resolvedI'd also like to be reiterate that to my knowledge, prior to the oil pan replacement, there was no sign of metal or bearing pieces in the oil and the engine was defect-free Because if there was an existing issue, the certified technicians should have noticed it before replacing the oil pan - at a cost to me of over $ While I appreciate Carter's gesture to discount labor, I feel the right solution would have been for Carter to take responsibility and provide all labor for free and the only expense to me would have been the replacement engine Even a 50/split of the complete repair would have been betterBut if the discounted labor is the best offering then I tentatively accept the gesture once the truck is returned to me in working order Again, I maintain that the truck's engine was defect-free before I engaged Carter to fix a leaking oil pan Sincerely, [redacted]
