Mr. [redacted] hasn't quite told the whole story. This customer purchased this boat knowing well that he
could come look at the boat before even bidding on it let alone putting the non-refundable deposit
down. We represent the things we sell on...
E-Bay as well as we can and to best of our knowledge. We had
100% positive feedback and been selling on E- Bay many years before Mr. [redacted] slammed us on ebay
feedback. He has 0% feedback and I don't think he understood how exactly E-Bay works. I advised in our
ad that you can come look at this first just schedule an appointment and he lives close by he could have
came to look prior. The boat is 26 years old not 6 years old is not going to be a perfect boat nor was it
said to be a perfect boat. I think he thought he was getting a like new boat for a fraction of the cost. The
screws that he is talking about is on the top by the swim platform were all new treated wood was
installed it has absolutely nothing to do with the boat floating like he said. There is scuffs on bottom of
boat not gouges again from being 26 years old. With that being said Mr. [redacted] was disappointed so we
agreed on giving him $250.00 back of the $500.00 NON-Refundable deposit which he agreed to because
he understood we had cost and time out for the listing and have to relist. We wrote him a business
check, which he has not yet cashed because it hasn't come through my bank. And now continues to
bash us everywhere online and call us scamers that screwed him out of $500.00 when in reality we gave
him $250.00 of the NON- Refundable deposit which we didn't have to do he was aware that when he
put the deposit down within 24 hours of the end of the auction that it was non-refundable. I am
attaching a copy of the E-Bay description so you can see how it was listed, how it said you can come look
at it prior and that if you win there is a non refundable deposit which is just standard on a E-Bay listed
you have 24 hours to put a deposit down then have 7 days to get the rest paid in full. He is being
dishonest and trying to get another $500 back from us even though he has already received a check for
$250 which he hasn't mentioned anywhere. We have sold a lot of vehicles on E-bay and have never had
an issue like this before. I am also attaching a copy of our seller feedback to show how satisfied and
what other members have said about things we have sold. We are not scammers and are not out to
screw people out a $500 deposit like Mr. [redacted] is posting. I mentioned in the posting everything we
knew about the boat from what the previous owner told us. I even called the previous owner while Mr.
[redacted] was there looking at the boat to try and get him as much information as I could because we didn't
know a whole about it because we hadn't had the boat long at all. We felt like we were very fair to him
and even giving him half his NON-refundable deposit back.
