The person who answers the phone is very rude. Not customer service oriented at all. The first time I contacted Carter Irrigation, I was asked "we charge $79. for the service call - do you have $79.". I own a house in Midlothian and the property managment used them for years. I was not happy for paying a yearly contract and not using the service because the tenant or the managment realtor did not call to schedule the service. Today I called to for winterization service and the woman was very rude when I asked her to get in touch with the tenant to schedule the visit. I will not recommend their services at all. We have a blog network in my HOA and I will make sure I advise not to waiste their time calling Carter Irrigation Services. [redacted]

Review: In November 2014, I had Carter Irrigation winterize my irrigation system. Before the winterization, the water to the irrigation system and the values to the backflow had been turned off (shut). After the winterization, I noticed that the end cap to the backflow pipe had been broken off. Just thought this was necessary for the winterization and would be fixed when the company came to open the system. In April 2015, I had Carter Irrigation open the system. When the tech attempted to open the system, he could not get any water pressure in from the system. Apparently, the backflow had been over pressured during the winterization, and all the seal were blown. The tech who winterized the system did not open the values to the backflow before pressurizing the system. So, the backflow had to be replaced. Also, there were new leaks in the pipes around the backflow, I assume from the same improper winterization process.

I received a bill from Carter Irrigation for the opening, new backflow, 2 new heads, and an extra half hour of labor. I am not disputing the Spring opening and 2 new heads, as they were needed. However, the damage to the backflow, the links and the backflow pipes, and the extra labor, I feel was caused by the negligence of the tech conducting the winterization of the system, and I am disputing the cost of the backflow and the extra labor for the repairs.

I have contracted Carter Irrigation numerous times related to this issue. Each time I call, I am told that the owner will return my call. This has been going on for over two months and no one from Carter Irrigation has contacted me related to this issue and the questions I have related to the billing.Desired Settlement: I am disputing the cost of the backflow and the extra labor for the repairs. I believe it was the negligence of the company's tech that caused the damage to the backflow, and I should not be responsible for the cost of the repairs.
