This client is unsatisfied with our efforts to recover the monies owed to her on a judgment against the defendant.  I dont know what she refers to as ineffective in satisfying the terms of our contract.  We have had many conversations concerning this judgment.  The consumer has a long...

history of no employment or part time employment and working under the table.  She apparently does not understand that as our contract states if we do not recover any money we do not get paid.  So in spite of countless hours of researching and chasing leads as to finding employment or assets that a judgment can attempt to recover we have not recovered any money.  Our contract can not control recovering money, some consumers know how to beat the system don't intend to pay there bills and know what they can do and how many hours they can work and avoid being garnished, because they dont work enough.  We have spent many hours by our staff and legal department to attempt to recover any money from this consumer.  We are willing to assign the judgment back to our client [redacted], when we received certified funds for the $103.00 that have been paid out in hard courts costs and are recoverable under the judgment.  This would not pay us any money for all of our efforts it would pay back the required out of pocket court costs that have been paid out on behalf of Ms. [redacted] on this account.  We do not work and pay out money in expectation of not recovering. But we do try to limit spending good money after bad.  Unfortunately, even thought our agency has been in business over 55 years and I have been in credit and collections for over 40 years, we do not have 100% success, it just doesnt happen.  We are persistent and don't give up easily, we wouldn't be in business this long if we did.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: As they claim people are wasting valuable time I completely agree! They are wasting mine! When they were asked to provide a simple document showing that the debt had been released they went ahead and stamped it with a stamp that said this is an attempt to collect a debt. It was absolutely foolish considering there is no debt to be collected! They then claimed that this is how every document of theirs came out. Even though it was clearly stamped on and could easily have not been stamped! Carter Jones should be embarrassed that this is how they conduct themselves!Sincerely,[redacted]

Please be advised that we have  a difficult job to do and we follow the laws and statutes.  This case has been handled according to the statutes of the State or Oregon.  First of all many consumers misunderstand that a divorce decree is an agreement between the two parties that signed...

it, and it is legal and binding between those two parties. In most cases creditors that have the right to pursue recovery of an account from both parties before a divorce , often still can pursue both parties after the divorce. There are no accounts that were not incurred before the divorce and unfortunately the circumstances between the parties divorced is difficult.  We are unable to refund any monies collected and unable to make this go away.  It is owed according to the laws of the State or Oregon and a judgment was signed by a judge after proper procedures were followed. Many of the statements made by this consumer are just not true. We are always willing to discuss the matter with every consumer and see if we can come to an agreeable resolution, to an obviously unfortunate circumstance.

This complaint is very simple to respond to.   The title company would not show any account assigned to a collection agency it would only show judgments that come from public record .  This information was explained to the consumer.  We do not report judgments to anyone Credit...

Bureau or other, the Credit Bureaus pick up judgments and liens off of public record at court houses.  We do not report judgments to Credit Bureau's and thus cannot respond to any report.  As far as the assigned accounts we have reported as required when notified as to Bankruptcy and then accounts are not reported paid they are reported Bankrupt.  This complaint is unfounded and unfortunate that anyone has to use up valuable time.
