Response:First of all we were called out on 9-1-to fix a water leak and while there the gentleman ask us to replace his toilet which we did, then on 9-08-we were called out to repair a leak on the shower faucet which we did by installing a new delta stem we returned on or about 10-07-to
install an access panel behind the shower valve for future accessI or no one else ever heard from this man until a complaint was filed about a water leak on or around his toilet, he or no one else gave Carter plumbing the right of first refusal to repair the leak if there really was oneI would assume that if there really were a leak caused by Carter that he would have noticed it sometime between the first time we was at his home and the second and third times that we returned to repair the shower valve and install the access panel????*** *** *** *** **

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.7/8/09  Carter replaced yard hydrant ($217.90).11/26/12  Carter replaced yard hydrant again.  City noticed a leak and told me about it.  Billed me ~$50 more than three years ago for parts.  Carter reduced the bill with an apology.  Don’t like having to keep an eye on them.11/14/14  Came out and replaced the wax ring on the toilet in the guest bathroom.  A pleasant experience.  $106.50.These are my notes regarding our most recent dealings with Carter Plumbing.  I expect nothing from Carter but I will not withdraw this complaint.  I believe it needs to exist so others can see my experience.04/01/15  I called Carter and told them that there appeared to be a wax ring leak in the guest bathroom toilet.  They came out and replaced the supply line to the toilet.  $100.  They said that 6 mos. was a long time for a supply line.  Don’t use them again and talk them down.9/1/15  Wax ring leak again.  Came out and told me they’d have to used two wax rings or replace the toilet.  I went with the toilet replacement option.  It worked but was pricey.  ($515)9/4/15 Came out and repaired a broken supply line under the kitchen sink.  They also replaced the shower stem in the master bath due to a drip – I had to disassemble and adjust because the shower wasn’t getting hot enough.  Called Carter about the shower and he told me  I could repair it. ($150)9/4/15Came out and repaired a broken supply line under the kitchen sink.  They also replaced the shower stem in the master bath due to a constant dripping.  I called Carter about a week after this work was compelted because the shower  stem they installed wasn't producing hot enough water.  I spoke with the owner and he said adjustment on the mixing valve was easy and something I could do myself.  I disassembled their work  and adjusted the mixing valve.Called Carter about the shole and he told me  I could repair it. ($150)9/6/15  Received an invoice from Carter for work – wall repair – that I had already paid for.9/6/15  Received an invoice from Carter for work – wall repair – that I had already paid for.  Spoke with the receptionist and the owner and didn't pay the bill twice.12/18/15  Water around the toilet base again.  I reset the toilet with the help of a friend with a new wax ring.  Found closet bolts not to be snug – could have been the problem.  Called and filed a Revdex.com complaint.
