Each time we've worked with Cartier Construction it's been a pleasure
They've been up front & honest, the works been terrific & the people are great
Tim our inspector is Polite, Honest, & Friendly He makes my yr old Mom at ease
She's got her faculties, but she's a bit Leary when it comes to spending money
We've always gotten more then we've expected

I am writing my response to this complaint and attaching copies of my documentation for you help in posting the company's response
We did not show up at Mrs***'s home unannounced we actually scheduled an apptwith her at 10:
a.mfor an appttime between 1:and 3:that afternoon (which was plenty of time for her to cancel the apptbefore we showed up)
We do not now or have we ever preyed on the elderlyWe actually received a call after hours to our answering service on Friday June 20th from Mrs***'s son and after receiving the call information from the answering service a Manager call the son back and spoke with him regarding the cancellation of this contractWe advised the son that we would cancel the contract and mail Mrs***'s check back to her
Upon completion of this phone call with her son there didn't seem to be any problems or that the customer was upsetIt seems that Mrs*** is just being malicious and mean and there is no grounds for her to file this complaint as she signed the contract for work to be performed on 06/18/and called to cancel on Friday 06/20/well within the day right of cancellationThe contract was immediately cancelled and Mrs***'s deposit check of the customary 10% was mailed back to her on Monday 06/23/
Attached is the copy of the original apptsheet, the contract dated 06/18/and I am waiting for the answering service log and will forward it as soon as I get it

I would like to make three points:
When you called to make an appointment, your representative did everything he could to represent *** Construction as a company that did work on the behalf of the management of our parkIt is not uncommon for management to do inspections on trailers, and they send various people to do so throughout the yearBut your company probably knows that, and uses it to gain entrance into gated parksSo in fact, you called un-solicited and used vague language to trick me into making an appointment
I want to make this point very clear, because this is the main reason for this complaint: Upon further inspection (by a qualified professional) it turns out that the work that your salesman said was desperately needed (bolting together the two halves of my double wide trailer - which according to him had never been done) was in fact NOT AT ALL NEEDEDSo the contract that I was tricked into signing (I am in a wheelchair and disabled, so there was no way on Earth that I would be personally able to confirm or deny that such work was necessary) was in fact for a completely BOGUS REPAIR
This is why I'm making this complaint
And finally, calling me "malicious and mean" because I don't want to give *** Construction thousands of dollars for an unneeded repair is not only a sadly pathetic way to respond, but it shows what bullies you are in dealing with the elderlyShame on you
