In 2015, I was a member of *** *** on *** *** ** *** ** and that business closed and my account was apparently transfered to Crunch FitnessApparently, they had mailed me notification of this but since I never inquired or expressed any interest in a membership with Crunch, the mail was disposed of and considered junk mailSince the dues were being taken from an account that I use exclusively for medical expenses, I was unaware of the debits to my account until a payment for medication bouncedOnce I discovered the cause, I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com and a rep of Crunch replied that since my contract with *** stated the possibility of a transfer and that being the case, he stated that Crunch had done nothing wrong but as a show of good faith, they would refund half of the dues that had been collected which would have amounted in about $I have never recieved that refund and on top of that! On top of my disappointment in Crunch not honoring the good faith refund, I logged into the account last week and discovered that for an entire year since we negotiated this settlement, THEY ARE STILL DEBITING MY ACCOUNT for per month!!! more months have passed since they agreed to the refund of $and have debited another $Crunch fitness owes me approximately $540! This is where the complaint becomes even more unacceptableA few months ago, Crunch took over World Gym on Colvin Avenue and are also charging me for that membership!! I would like to retain that membership and agree to the monthly debit, but the fact that are charging the same account twice forces any reasonable person to arrive at the conclusion that Crunch fitness has absolutely no internal controls which is hard to believe in the time of the CFPB and recent lawsuits against companies like Wells Fargo that revolve around the opening of accountsAnybody with even a tertiary understanding of case law would arrive at the conclusion that the previous offer of a refund of $is an admission of culpability and obligates Crunch Fitness to refund $to meI look forward to a quick and satisfactory response.Refund of $to be mailed to me at the stated address/ Immediate discontinuation of monthly deduction of $from my health savings accountContinuation of monthly deduction of $to continue my membership at the former *** *** ** *** ***

Good Morning,The GM of Crunch Amherst has reached out to this member by phone and has been waiting on his return callIn the initial complaint it says he was apart of *** *** and it became a CrunchWe were never with *** *** here, so thinking this account originated from one of the corpclubs that took over those from *** ***However, after many attemptsto contact this member to try and resolve this issue; none of the many calls have been returned back. When we bought out all of ***’s memberships all their information transferred over to us including their billing information so this member has been getting chargedWe sent out mailers, emails etc letting these members know of the switch overAs mentioned, when we took over the members of
***, there were several communications that went out to all members. This gentleman seems to acknowledge it in his complaint. Member’s either had to send a letter to the club, a letter to ***, or come into the club; this is our policy This member claims to have sent an e-mail to Crunch via the websiteI would be willing to refund the dues he paid in as a sign of goodwill, but the dues need to be paid as it is the responsibility of the memberThank you,

Many attempts? I did not receive one call from them. And how do they claim they never had an account for me when previously they said they did and it was canceled?

So they agree the membership was canceled, yet they are the ones who submitted this collections and they can’t fix it? Seems very very wrong. Why should I be stuck paying over $200 for the company’s mistakes
