Cartus policy states one way or two way flight whichever is cheaper will be reimbursed fully for relocation trip. They are now refusing to pay full. I have received a new employment opportunity with [redacted]. In part of this new employment required me to move my family and home. It states in the Cartus/[redacted] policy when me and my family fly out for our final trip to our final location. The flight will be fully reimbursed by Cartus. It explicitly states to choose a flight which is cheapest whether this flight be a one way flight or a round trip flight. At the time of our booking it was cheaper to book a round trip flight even though we would only be using the flight out tickets. My family (Wife and a one year old and three year old, we did not purchase our one year old a ticket she sat on my wives lap) trip was on 9/5. My flight was on 8/25. On 9/11/15 I was contacted by [redacted] from Cartus that Cartus would be denying my claim being paid in full due to their accounting department denying their policy stated whichever flight was cheapest. Also on 9/11 I received a final e-mail from [redacted] which clearly states they are correcting the department which is handling my claim and that I will be paid in full. On 9/23/14 at 3:24am I received automated e-mail claims stating my payment was completed and the total amount was $627.30. This is half the amount of what Cartus agreed to pay and which their own policy states they should pay. Cartus is refusing to pay the remaining $577.29 in which I am owed and only spent because their policy stated to choose whichever flight is cheapest. My family and I only booked a two way flight because it was the lower fare at the time of booking. If we knew they were not going to uphold their own policy we would have booked the more expensive at the time one way trips and would not be facing this issue. The programs are administered in accordance with the direction and policy of the corporate client, and any exceptions or deviations to a client's program requires the further approval of the corporate client. We reviewed Mr. [redacted] file and determined that under the employee relocation program offer by his employer, [redacted] he was in fact eligible to receive reimbursement for the roundtrip airfare to relocate his family. On September 23rd Cartus initiated, on behalf of his employer, an additional payment of $577.29 to reimburse the cost of airfare he incurred.We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused Mr. [redacted].
