June 12, 2015: VERY POOR SERVICEWe have 10am appointment & bought tires, purchased few days before our appointment, from them to install...here we are 1pm we are still waitingWe finally asked the status...they said "we just put the 3rd tire on & it will be another hour" wow really?!!! We've been patiently waiting since 10am now it's 1:05pm! We would NOT RECOMMEND this place
On February 9th I took my car to Carx. Because I was hearing a noise when stopping periodically. I was not sure where the noise was coming from because I did not hear it all the time. So I arrived there about 6;30 in the morning.I was told it would be an hour and a half. So I told them I would wait on my car. While waiting for us to be checked in. There was people coming in who was not there at six.That was checked in before I was when people tried to speak up. It did not do no good they was checked in anyway before us. Some people left their cars up there. Hours later I was still sitting there. When people who was there at six. Was coming to pick up their cars. Stating you been up here all day. It was going on eight hours that I sat up there. Then when they checked my car they did not show me the damage. They just told me I needed rotors and brakes.So I took their word for it. It was near closing time when my car was done. I noticed that there was a louder noise coming from my car.Also that I still had to push my breaks to the floor to stop. Then it was like something was skipping when I put on my breaks. So I made an appt for Tuesday but had to reschedule for Wednesday morning at 9am. I arrived at my appt time and told the man I had a nine oclock appt. He asked me if I was go leave my car I said no. He told me he did not know what time he could get to me. I said what about me having am 9am appt. He told me I would just have to wait. Also he had no idea how long I would have to wait. So toId him I would need another appt.because I could not sit up there all day again.I hope my appt Monday is better than before. That I am considered in the way I should be.
This Firestone is the McDonald's of garages in Fayetteville. Furious. Alternator died on a Sunday some time ago, and they were the only shop open. Being a full time single dad, I had no choice but to go with this location in order to keep the car (and our lives) moving. The alternator died again (while under warranty) and had to pay $105 labor to fix it. While in their care, they damaged my power steering. I received a call while the car was in their care from a mechanic who informed me of the damage to the power steering and kept adding, "But, we didn't damage it" before I ever had a chance to say a word. Of course they damaged it. I took it back to have it "looked at," at which time I was told, in summary, "You can't prove we did it." I've never written a negative review of a business in my life. But I will inform as many Fayetteville residents as possible to avoid Firestone so that they won't deal with the same terrible experience as I did. While waiting, I can also tell you that I wasn't the only frustrated/angry/disappointed customer in that waiting room. This place is awful. AVOID.
