Contractor refused work, because I would not grant unattended access to residence, told insurance we informed them we would find out own contractor. On the 8th of Feb, my upstairs bathub over flowed. I immediately contact the insurance company (USAA), and they dispatched CRC to come and inspect the damage. CRC was very pushy with my spouse and wanted to start water mitigation right away, although the damages did not see to be that severe. The mitigation team threw all of our toiletries into our bath tub, tooth brush included. THey removed and damaged all of my bathroom cabinets, and part of the tile, ran industrial dehumidifiers and fan for two days and then sent a Project Manager onsite to go over estimate. Each time someone would come out, they were asking for money directly, even after I had informed them that I had spoken with the insurance company. The onsite project manager was reluctant to acknowledge damage that was caused by the mitigation team, he also was very insistent to have access to the home when my wife and I were not home. I explained that I could not do that, but could work from home in my home office on the days he had to have someone onsite. He informed me that they had turned down jobs in the past due to customers not allowing a lock box being put on the door. CRC my home then contacted my insurance company and informed them that we had stated we would find another contractor. I would not/ do not trust CRC, and would not recommend them to anyone else. I am working with my insurance company to have them removed from the approved vendors list. Desired SettlementCompany damaged cabinets from bathroom, did not spec out on estimate the cost to replace them, only spec'd our the cost to reinstall cabinets the broke. Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/This issue has been resolved by CRC, senior leadership from CRC responded to my concerns and I am very satisfied with how this issue was resolved. Please close my complaint with this company.

Cary reconstruction is repairing our kitchen due to water damage. The work that has been done is inadequate and sloppy. The manager is unprofessional. We had water mitigation completed by Cary Reconstruction. That part of our job was completed successfully. Only when they started doing the repair work did we encounter problems. One cabinet needed to be rebuilt in the kitchen; however they used the wrong material and wrong color. It doesn't match up with the current cabinet in the kitchen. They made that cabinet as cheaply as possible and it shows. When installing it, they cracked the cabinet, but did not fix it. In addition, the cabinet door is missing as is a drawer that goes into the cabinet. Furthermore, one of our drawers can't fit into the cabinet anymore because they made the hole too big and the sliders that move the drawer in and out have been installed improperly. Even though the cabinet was not built properly and needs to be fixed, workers came to re-install our counter top in the kitchen. They installed it wrong and it is not centered properly and now our stove won't fix where it has been for years. It is currently sitting in the middle of our kitchen. There is glue all over the counter tops from the installation. Furthermore, the counter top is now sloping and going at an angle versus being straight. The counter top used to meet the back splash so there was no wall showing and now there is a big gap between the wall and the counter top.Every time we speak to someone at Cary Reconstruction, they have excuses as to what is happening in our kitchen. We have spoken to numerous people- from the project manager (who has no idea what is happening in our kitchen) to the general manager. No one can give us a straight answer and help us out. We are extremely dissatisfied with the work that has been done and are patiently waiting for them to fix these repairs and the work that they have done. We have contacted our home owners insurance company as well to see if they can assist us in any way.Desired SettlementWe are hoping that our kitchen is fixed accordingly. We want the cabinets to match and we'd like to have the missing drawer and door for the cabinets. We'd like for the counter tops to be installed properly (so they stove fits where it used to sit) and sit straight instead of at an angle. We'd also like for these repairs to be done as soon as possible. We are taking days off from work and have for the last month; however, work has not been successfully completed.Business Response /[redacted]/We met with Mr. [redacted] last week, identified outstanding issues and agreed upon a plan of action. We will resume repairs on Monday and will have all items addressed next week.Consumer Response After reading the company's response, I'm quite surprised. We did NOT work out any times for next week. My husband took 16 days off work for this repair & I took off a few in addition & it wasn't fixed accordingly. Unfortunately, neither of us are able to set up repair times for next week. We are unable to take additional leave from work until June. Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/
