On Sunday August 6th, appproximately one hour before closing time we paid admission for 3 adults and one child to gain entry to Casa Loma. We were not there long before we noticed many employeees carrying large wedding size (approx 90 in round) heavy event tables, we were in the library where the employees were lining the walls with these large precariously perched tables. Round tables only have an area of about an inch at any given area touching the floor and don't have a balance point at all if they are placed leaning against a wall like these were- one of the tables fell on my 12 year old son, and as he stuggled with the weight of it he was falling with the table if top of him as my older son grabbed it preventing further injury. There were also several other very small children in this area that should have been closed off with these large hazards present or more appropriately not set up fir the wedding taking place until after all the paying museum patrons had got what they paid for until 5 pm the advertised closing time. Not only had he strained his groin and abdomen from the weight of the table but we did not have time to complete the tour after waiting to see a manager to give a report and get done I've got his injuries to prevent swelling. He was ok after a few days but it ruined our remaining time in Toronto on vacation, the manager was horrified after seeing the scene and realizing other very small children could have been involved and this seems like standard operating procedure at all of their events - it's a miracle it's not happened previous to this incident. She said she was going to refund our admission fees for the 4 of us and claimed it would take several days because it was through s third party. Despite emails and her response once initially ,she was trying to get "something done", she had ignored all emails since and NOTHING has been done, we only asked after she offered to get our refund, it's certainly bad business at a minimum and realizing they had violated many safety practices and a standards duty of care and public safety should have immediately been happy to refund our money, I flabbergasted that it been so many months now with being completely ignored, and they don't see that I am not going to pay to see an attraction I didn't get to see and come out with an injured child, and pay for that. They owe me a refund of $98, for what we did not get to see or enjoy due to their negligence in my sons injury and the time it took to make sure he was ok and no other child was going to get injured. I don't owe them money for an experience like that.
They owe me a $98 dollar refund fir 3 adults at $27 and one child at $17 for the above reasons. Nobody should have to pay to experience an unsafe environment, not even get the full experience and come out with an injured child.
This incident was first brought to our attention by the Revdex.com. It should have been resolved during the guests visit. We will be issuing a full refund and complimentary visit.

I do accept this resolution and appreciate the response, the first report of this incident however should not have been through Revdex.com, because there was an incident report from that day that should have been reported, *** told us she was going to refund the money that day and never did, I have a number of follow up emails where she promises to refund and then never does, and stopped responding to our emails all together, she absolutely should not be representing Casa Loma, I have never had the misfortune of dealing with someone like *** in a serious situation with potential for it happening again if procedure didn't change drastically the next time a wedding or event was set up. If a smaller child experienced the large table falling on them the consequences could be dire and *** acted with the least amount of concern for both the public in that room, and my son, not to mention reprinting Casa Loma itself as a business. My follow up question is how and when will the refund be issued, we have been waiting so long for action and were told the day it happened on Aug 6th , as an excuse by *** our admission refund couldn't be done that day because we paid for that day via the app on mobile phone, and the last email from her said she couldn't figure out how to do anything for us just prior to ignoring us completely. I don't get to visit Toronto every year but a non expiring return family visit would be a lovely gesture to see what we did not get to see on our last one. I am disturbed that *** chose to not share such an experience with those at Casa Loma that oversee public safety and chose to unilaterally ignore a solution. My biggest hope is that event and wedding set up fundamentallly changes. How does the refund get executed and expedited in this resolution, is my question, I'm just a little skeptical only because *** has ignored us for so many months.

company said they would refund my money and provide return tickets to my family-I accepted this as a resolution this has not been done, I have heard nothing and received no refund they have had a month for action and none has been taken. I will attach my previous written complaint that the company agreed to resolve and have not. I would like to reopen another complaint and direct your attention to the company's inaction of the resolution they agreed to.
