Review: In late May we purchased, through a retailer, 35 cartons of Adore, Naturelle LVT flooring. After 10 days of acclimatizing in our house, our installer put in approximately 300 sq. ft. of the product. The next morning when he arrived and looked at the flooring he noticed a separation between the planks. This was relayed to our retailer who then called the distributor about the problem. The retailer asked for an independent inspector to come out to the site and determine what had happened. Three days later he arrived and eventually issued a report on his findings. We then found out that the inspector was an employee of the distributors company. He first blamed the installer, then the adhesive and finally the site. After looking at the instructions for installation for the product, we have come to the conclusion that there were many things that he ignored in his inspection and report. He claims the temperature was wrong, which it was within the limits allowed for the product. The temperature he used for the site for the day of installation was taken in an area which normally can be 5-8 degrees higher or lower than his findings. He constantly refers to site as being in direct sunlight for extended periods of time which would take the temperature up higher than the limits of the product. I have walked on the floor with bare feet when it was 98 degrees outside, 77 inside and the floor is cool to the touch. He took a temperature outside on the deck in direct sunlight and extrapolated what he felt the temperature might be on the flooring inside! The temperature never gets anywhere near that (He did measure the floor inside; it was 64 degrees!)The same problem (separation of the planks) occurred in another room which never gets direct sun, but he ignored this completely. I am including his report and the instructions from the manufacturer with important information highlighted to show his inconsistencies. The product obviously has a defect, but he insists that it was the installer, the adhesive used (which they recommended), or the site that is to blame. Never once does he indicate it could be a product problem. B.R. Funsten is refusing to refund the money for the LVT that was used and therefore not returned. In no way should we (or the retailer, or the installer) be held accountable for a product that did not work, nor should Funsten have sent an inspector of their own who was curt, biased and rude.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund for the entire amount charged to my credit cardaccout of $8035.20.This include the amount for the flooring that was ruined and removed. It also includes $2893.05 that was not shown on the invoice she originally sent us.

Regarding ID10192012: Since filing my complaint against Casa Verde Designs in Davis, I have received a partial check ($5945) for the returned part of our flooring. She still insists that we must pay for the 320 sq. ft. that did not work as it should have. We are now asking for the remaining money. I originally paid her $8035.20, which I did sign for, and received a check for $5945.40. We request the additional $2,089.80. We see no reason why we should pay for flooring that did not work as the manufacturer claimed it would, and separated at the seams.
