Cascade Property Inspections

I arrived at the house to do a home inspection for my client.My client and the realtor were there the whole time I was inspecting the house.When it was time to inspect the furnace the AC was on, I took the service cover off the front and the ac stayed on which indicates the safety switch was
malfunctioning.With the cover off I switched the furnace to heat and the heat came on.When I shut the heat off and put the covers on the front of the furnace the ac would not come on so I tried taking the cover off more times and no AC.So I wrote the furnace up for bad safety switch and showed my client the furnace which had not been serviced for years told my client the furnace needed serviced.She called me the next day and said a HVAC tech came out and the cover was on wrong and charged her dollars for service call.When I received a E-mail from her stating that the cover was put on wrong I promptly sent her a check for $dollars to make things right.I have talked to service guys since then and they all agree it was a faulty safety switch.Thanks David
