In response to the complaint issued to the Revdex.com that I received today: The complaint was e-mailed (x3) to an Administrator who has not worked for Cascade Spine in many years. That information (with the Revdex.com site) has now been updated.
The request received from the patient is
reasonable given the length of time he has been waiting for a refund.
Our business has been reaching out to the Payor (HealthNet) for many months requesting the EOB's related to his dates of service - including the necessary corrections of overpayment w/o resolve. Part of our checks and balances include having the correct information - from all sources - for proper documentation and record keeping. The Payor (HealthNet) is one of the most difficult to work with as they do not allow our Billers to view the information so AP and AR can be reviewed and taken care of in a timely fashion. This in turn, causes patient dissatisfaction as well as issues with our record keeping
After conversing with the patient (who wrote the complaint) and discussing the issue again with my business office, I informed the patient that we would send a check for the requested amount by next week. I also informed him that IF HealthNet makes a determination, due to overpayment, that he is owing money (either to HealthNet or Cascade Spine), he will be billed accordingly
We apologize for the delay and dissatisfaction experienced by the patient
