I saw the video and time stamp from the renter, but it in no way shows the large tear that was in the picture supplied to me by the cleaning service (see attached). Other pictures were supplied from the renter at the beginning of the stay that appeared to show dirt from under furniture that was potentially moved, etc. I know that every cleaning service is different and some may not clean even as I like it, but no service is expected to do spring cleaning every time. My wife and I do that twice a year when we take our family there to stay. Regarding the lamps, I was notified by the renter that they were not working which I assumed the light bulbs were out, which does happen from time to time. However, the cleaning service sent me a picture of where the lamp was completely broken, not just a bulb (see attached). Pictures from the cleaning service were provided to the renter to show proof. Basically, we had to purchase a new lamp and a couch/love seat combo which cost much more than the $deposit. Had we of been able to charge a credit card for the additional amount, we would have. No other replies will be extended as we have given the renter proof of all items broken and replaced, noting again that the items replaced cost much more than the $deposit that the renter is requesting returned. I would suggest that all communication be posted on Revdex.com and let future renters determine if they prefer to stay or not based on their own opinion of that communication. It should be noted that no one has complained about the house all year so the cleaning service must be doing something correct

letting him know. Afterwards, he said "we" did the damage and kept our deposit. The video with a date stamp CLEARLY shows the tear in the couch on our arrival. We also told him the lamps weren't working and sent him pictures of the bedding issues and broken blinds and dirt in the house. He tried to blame our adult children who were in the house 1 night.  He also told us he needed a new housekeeper but now is taking her word over a video we have as proof. He can't deny the pictures and date stamp. He even said a picture was worth a thousand words......now he denies it all. If there is a way to send video, please let me know. I've included the date stamped picture which you can zoom in on.
