I RECEIVED A VOICE MESSAGE ON TODAY 07/**/2014 FROM THIS GUY NAME [redacted] STATING THAT CONGRATULATION THE APPLICATION FOR THE LOAN APPLICATION WHICH I MADE ON LINE WAS SUCCESSFULLY APPROVED FOR $5000.00 TO BE PAID OFF IN PAYMENTS WAS APPROVED AND HE NEED ME TO CALL HIM BACK AT ###-###-#### TO VERIFY MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I CALL THESE PEOPLE BUT I DID NOT GIVE THEM ANY ACCOUNT INFORMATION I INFORM THEM THAT I DID NOT APPLY FOR ANY LOAN AND THAT THIS COULD BE FRAUD. FIRST THE GUY [redacted] WENT TO CURSING ME WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT THEY WAS A FRUAD IT WAS JUST TERRIBLE AND THEN I THOUGHT TO TAPE HIM AND I HAVE A TAPE OF HIM AND I INFORM HIM THAT I WAS TAPING HIM. THIS GUY TELLS ME THAT I DID APPLY FOR A LOAN AND I TOLD HIM THAT I DID NOT APPLY FOR A LOAN AND THEY ARE JUST SCAMMING AND INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MESS PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY WANT THEY GET THEM A JOB. I TRY TO FIND THEIR ADDRESS I CALL THEM BACK AND HE TELLS ME THAT HE WILL FILE THIS COURT I TOLD HIM TO DO WHAT THEY FEEL THEY NEED TO DO BECAUSE I DID NOT APPLY FOR NO LOAN AND THIS IS A SCAM. WHEN I ASK TO SPEAK WITH HIS SUPERVISOR HE ASK THAT I DO ONE THING FOR HIM AND HE WILL PUT HIS SUPERVISOR ON THE PHONE AND SINCE I WOULD NOT SAY THAT I WOULD DO NOTHING FOR HIM THAN HE WOULD NOT PUT HIS SUPERVISOR ONLINE. .Desired Settlement: MY DESIRED OUTCOME IS FOR THESE PEOPLE TO QUIT HARASSING ME. I WENT ON THE INTERNET AND I SEE WHERE THIS COMPANY HAS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM. WHEN THEY CALL YOU THEY LEAVE THE COMPANY NAME AS CASH ADVANCE AMERICA AND WHEN YOU CALL BACK THEY HAVE A RECORDING THAT COMES ON E LOANS.

Review: Spoke to a [redacted]and [redacted]at telephone number ###-###-####, in regards to getting a loan of $2000. Was instructed to put $150 on a MONEY PAK card. The first card, [redacted], my bank supposedly declined to accept the transfer. My bank actually called me back and told me they wouldn't accept the transfer. I called the number back and it was my bank. Then after that they stated they would send it another way via Western Union. They told me to pay the transfer fee of $189, via another money pak [redacted], When they gave me the MTCN Tracking Number for Western Union, which was [redacted], it was invalid. When I tried to reach the company and speak with the people again, they kept saying the refund was in the mail. It has been over two weeks and no funds have been received. I have gotten a loan before and had to give a down payment and I thought this was a similar situation. After opening a dispute with Money Pak they confirmed that it was a loan scam.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company to give me a refund of $189 and $150 which total $339. They also need to persecuted in a court of law.

Review: possible scam. Cash Advance America told me they could provide me a $2000 loan. Kept making up reasons for me to give them more money to put funds in bank. After me giving them $1150 dollars the dept. head said he accidentally sent my funds to Bank of America instead of Wells Fargo. Told me it would cost an additional $470 for the transfer. I told him I wouldn't pay, it was their mistake, Finally told him to cancel my loan and return my money and they told me it was a $120.00 cancellation fee. Gave it to them. They took their phone off the hook and have not received my funds yet. The agents I talked to were [redacted] men that said their names were [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]r. The phone numbers they were using were ###-###-#### (Auburn, NY), ###-###-####, and ###-###-#### (these 2 numbers were from New York City, NY. The last guy that answered the phone told me to pay him $200 for another cancellation fee or [redacted]!Desired Settlement: I want every penny I sent them for this $2,000 loan back in my account, check in the mail, or cash immediately this week. I want the FBI contacted as well as the New York police department.

Then when I ask who am I Speaking with and where they get this information from, they get all hostile, and start using nasty language, when I ask what their name they said SUCK MY D which made me angry,so I went to told my supervisor about whats was going on, so they call back again and she spoke to them ask them why they keeping calling and what wanted, so they gave her some of all my personal I information should not give out. HE IS CLAIMING TO COLLECT A DEPT ON BEHALF OF CASH ADVANCE AND HAS BEEN CALLING MY CELL PHONE AND MY WORK PLACE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. HE WILL NOT GIVE A STREET ADDRESS OF WHERE HE LOCATED ONLY THAT HE IS IN GREENSBORO, NC. HE HAS CLAIMED THAT I WILL BE ARRESTED, SUED, AND/OR WAGES GARNISHED IN THE PAST. HE NOW IS CALLING AND CLOGGING UP ALL THE PHONE LINES AT MY JOB AND HANGING UP WHEN SOMEONE ANSWERS. HE SAYS HE WILL CONTINUE TO CALL EVERYDAY UNTIL I PAY. Review: I have been receiving harrassing phone calls at my place of employment from (609)318-3330. This company called my employer several times a day. The individual is a man with an indian accent by the name of Robert. He has been very rude to my manager demanding to speak with me "Right Now". He eventually gave my manager call back information that he had been refusing to provide before. When I returned the call to Robert. The individual who answered the phone would not connect me to Robert. He asked me my name several times and for the phone number Robert had called me at. He put me on hold and disconnected the call. He called me back at work and accused me of hanging up on him. At this point he preceeded to tell me that he was from DFF Legal Department,I had received a payday loan from Cash Advance America, and I was going to be prosecuted for fraud, money laundering, and theft.He then told me prevent legal action I needed to go to Walmart to send them $850 by MoneyGram Bill Pay. He said I needed to send the money to: the company was IBM, receiver code: 5950 in Palm Coast, FL. If the company is DFF or Cash Advance America)why would I be sending money to IBM?Desired Settlement: I want the harrassment to stop.

Review: Company is calling my employer ([redacted]) and flooding the [redacted]. They average dozens of calls a day which remove resources for legitimate business needs and threaten to increase their calling volume if not paid. The claim is illegitimate and this is a known phishing scheme across the internet. Upon speaking with the individual ([redacted], but goes by various aliases according to internet claims) and informing them of escalating to our legal department they hung up. Additional attempts to contact the company result in hang-ups or immediate voice mail. Caller: [redacted] Calling Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: The calls need to cease. The claim is unfounded and is a phishing attempt originating from India through US based lines. Requesting the company be investigated and advised on further avenues to get them shut down as they are costing companies money and potentially lost revenue due to their methods.

Review: A customer service representative contacted me about a payday loan. [redacted] then proceeded to tell me I needed to send a first payment, to show good faith, of $208 (at 10:46am) through a green card cash pack. I traveled to Walmart and did so. He then said to wait approximately 30-45 minutes and my $5000 loan would be directly deposited into my checking account. He had all the correct numbers for my account. After waiting an hour I called him back to find out what was going on. I had to leave him a message on his voicemail. After waiting a while he calls back to say I had to pay another $250 (at 2:13pm) through another green card cash pack. I purchased that and gave him this payment. Was told again to wait. I called back an hour later with no response. Then I was asked to pay another $100 towards using Western Union to get the loan by cash. I've never heard of this happening before. I purchased yet again another green card cash pack for $100 (around 4:00pm) then I waited until my bank was closed and came home with no loan. The next day I get called asking for more fees to finish the processing of the loan. The fee amount was $280 and was issued around 12noon. After all this I still did not get my loan. I just want all my money for the fees returned to me.Desired Settlement: I just want all my money back because they owe it to me which totals $838

Review: Have been harassed by a man named Austin Chase, he first started calling back in March. I asked him many times not to call me at work. He told me worked for an attorney and that they were going to file charges on me for a debt, that I owed to Cash Advance. Never have I had a loan from Cash Advance!! This man harass me on my personal cell phone and at work. He curses me out and tells me I am playing games with him about this issue. I have told him I would work with him. He told me in order to get this matter resolved I had to go and buy a "green dot" money card with only 14 digits. I bought one and it had 16 digits. "Mr. Chase" told me to stop playing games with him and get a 14 digit card. I told him that there was no way for find out if the card had 14 or 16 digits. I told him then I would go to my local store here and pay them. He told me I couldn't do that it had to be paid directly to Cash Advance in PA. I have never been to PA or had a loan from Cash Advance. I want to scream because he calls me over and over, I have him calling me about 25 x a day. How can I get him to leave me alone @ work and at home.Desired Settlement: I just need him leave me the hell alone.

Review: I was told I was approved for a payday loan .as I was talking to the person on the phone he called me a [redacted] because I didn't his question right away.when I called the number back he kept swearing at me then hung up.he said his name was alex brown.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to know how I was treated if this man actually works for the company.I don't want to see anyone else get scammed or treated this way

Review: We have a man that states he is "[redacted]" from some kind of Legal Investigation that is looking for an ex-employee. He has been advised that she has not worked here and not to call again. He refuses not to call and says he will continue to call until she comes to the phone. Some how this person is able to blow all our lines to the school. He started calling March 5, 2014 and on March 6, 2014 the calls got threatening. At 12:13pm I was very rude to him since he has been asked numerous times not to call. After that he called again, again & again. Somehow he blew all our lines at the school. I did *69 the call and reported it to the Prescott Valley Police Department. We were closed March 10 - 14 for break but an employee was here March 11, 2014 and this man called again. When we first started receiving the calls they were from ###-###-####. When the employee took a message on March 11, 2014 he gave a call back number of ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: I want this company to never call the school again and if they do I will press charges. This behavior is unacceptable and for them to blow all the lines at a school is the stupidest thing someone could do. What if something happened in that 3 minutes that could have been a life or death situation?

Review: I applied for a personal loan online on Wednesday July 23rd. I filled out a form with my contact information. The next day, (July 24th) I received a phone call from a man named [redacted]. He told me that I had been approved for a loan. There was just one "small issue." Since they were lending me such a large amount, they needed proof that I would be able to pay it back. He then asked me if I lived near a [redacted], or [redacted] store. At that time, I was driving around going to a meeting and happened to be near a [redacted]. He told me I needed to get something called a "[redacted]" voucher for $194. I was desperate because I am about to start the separation/divorce proceedings with my husband, who has essentially stripped me of any assets.

I went into the [redacted] and asked about a [redacted] Card. I purchased what looked like a [redacted] Debit Card. When I called "[redacted]" Back no one picked up the phone but I could hear a TV on in the background. A few minutes later he called me asking "if I got the voucher" and I described what I had purchased. He then told me it was the wrong thing (apparently [redacted] offers different pre-paid options). At that time, I had to pick up my children from camp so I told him I would have to call him back. He then called ME back at least four times asking me if I went and got the [redacted] voucher. I told him that I had done enough running around and that I would call him back when I was ready to proceed.

The next day (today, July 25th) I woke up to a voice mail from [redacted] saying that he could cancel my loan request but would block my social security number from any additional loan requests. I know that this is impossible because I have worked in financial services previously, Anyway, I stupidly went ahead and drove to a [redacted] and purchased the [redacted] card for $194. I then called [redacted] back (took a few times to actually get a hold of him) and he asked me to rub off the back strip and give him the number. He assured me that he would send me an email confirmation and the full amount of my loan request in my checking account. He also promised to call me back in 90 minutes.

No surprise, I received neither a call back or an email confirmation. Every time I tried to call [redacted] there was a silence with a someone talking in the background. A few hours later I received a call from someone claiming his name was [redacted]. He wanted me to send them an additional $100. I asked what that was for and he kept on telling me it was for "verification." I told him there was no way I was going to send his company any more money and that I wanted the money I had sent to them paid back to me. After arguing with him for about 30 minutes (he even recommended I go back to my bank and ask if I could overdraft the $100), I asked to speak to a supervisor. He "transferred" me to someone named [redacted] who kept on asking for the $100. I told him, again, that I was not giving them any more money and I wanted the money I had given their "company" refunded. At that time he started cursing at me, calling me stupid and threatening me.

However, the complaint filed by [redacted] is addressed to Cash Advance America, with an address of one of Advance America’s Virginia locations.

[redacted] states she applied for an online loan and received a call from "[redacted]”. [redacted] advised that she was approved for the online loan, but she needed to show her ability to pay the loan. She was asked to purchase a "money pak" and provide him with the numbers from the “money pak” to prove her ability to repay the loan. We do not show any open accounts in the name of [redacted]. Please note the phone numbers referenced in [redacted] complaint are not associated with any Advance America center. Advance America does not require a customer to pay any fees in advance of receiving a loan.

Advance America has-encountered complaints of this nature before. In fact, our company has posted a Consumer Alert in all of its subsidiaries' locations regarding scam calls. we recommend that [redacted] document all details of any such calls in the future, further recommend that she not give any personal information to the caller, and, if appropriate, report such calls to the proper authorities.

We sympathize with [redacted] regarding the experience she encountered; however, we believe that our company is in no way responsible for this incident.

Review: This is a personal loan company that preys on people that are in need of loans who have blemished credit issues. The company states makes claims that they attempted to put the money into your checking account, and then offer to send the loan via Western Union. Once the have you pay the Western Union sending fee they then give you a MTCN tracking number that is not valid. They call you close to their closing time so that when you call back to say the tracking number is not valid they are no in. Once you continue to call they never answer the phone again and all calls go to a random voice mail. They send out loan documents to E-Sign and email correspondence however they never send you the loan that you have paid them to send you, nor do they contact you to advise you that you will not receive the loan.Desired Settlement: I obtained a Green Dot Money Card from CVS Pharmacy for $105.00 as I was told this was the sending fee for Western Union and I did not receive the loan and no one has returned any of my calls from the company. I would like to be refunded the sending fee as a loan was never received.

Review: Individual calling workplace harrassing anyone who answers the phone multiple times a day. "Bryan Scott" identifies himself as an investigator from the criminal division of the Boston Ma. ploice department. Claims I owe thousands of dollars for payday loan on account that has been closed for two years. Have never had loan. Claims to have spoken to my mother in law two days ago unfortunately for him she passed away four years ago. Was very belligerant, insulting, and unprofessional. Ask for documentation of such loan was told to shut my mouth in a very nasty and foul way. I asked to speak with his supervisor he got very loud and obnoxious and told me he was hanging up so that he could once again call and harrass whoever may answer the phone at my husbands place of business. Said he would call every five minutes for the next 90 days unless I wired him his money immediately.Desired Settlement: Someone needs to look into these people as they are impersinating law enforcement officials and doing so in a very unprofessional manner. It is unacceptable for them try to intimidate people into wiring money to them in the name of police officials. They also quote federal banking regulations and more than likely are misrepresenting what the documents truely hold. I would like the harrassment to stop but feel that it is just as important to make them accountable for unprofessional behavior.

Review: I have been threatened with arrest and accused of bank fraud by the collection agency they called my work I returned there call from home and told them not to call my place of employment. He laughed and said he will continue calling my work all day that was 6/18/13. He has been calling over and over and has actually called the people who answer the phone names when told we are not allowed personal calls. I tried to explain thatI have all the bank statement proving this was repaid it didn't matterDesired Settlement: I need these phone calls to stop it could jepardize my job

Person by the name [redacted] threaten me to take me to court and serve me with papers and also makes demanding threats about getting an attorney to get me out of jail. They contacted my old pastor. I received an email from this company claiming that I owe a debt to a company that I never heard of. I replied to the email telling them that I had no knowledge of the debt.
