Review: CFG (CASH FLOW GENERATORS) CALLED AND SPOKE WITH A 3RD PARTY, PROVIDING DETAILS ABOUT MY DEBT (WHICH WAS ALSO INCORRECT). THEY ADVISED MY NAME, THE AMOUNT THEY SAID I OWED, AND THE BUSINESS TO WHICH I SUPPOSEDLY OWED IT. THEY ALSO DID NOT ADVISE TO HER THAT THE CALL WAS RECORDED. I CALLED THEM BACK AND THEY DID NOT NOTIFY ME THAT THE CALL WAS RECORDED AND DID NOT VERIFY ME BEFORE PROVIDING THE SAME INFORMATION ABOUT MY DEBT. I MADE A COMMENT TO MY HUSBAND THAT THEY HADN'T VERIFIED ME, AND THEY MUST HAVE HEARD BECAUSE AT THAT POINT THEY ATTEMPTED TO VERIFY. HOWEVER, THEIR METHOD OF VERIFICATION WAS TO PROVIDE MY INFORMATION TO ME TO ASK IF IT WAS CORRECT, INCLUDING MY FIRST AND LAST NAME, ADDRESS, AND MORE. I CALLED BACK ONCE MORE TO INQUIRE ABOUT IF THE CALLS ARE RECORDED AND WAS ADVISED THAT THEY ARE, EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT ADVISED THIS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE THAT CALL ALSO. THE MRD (MONITORING AND RECORDING DISCLOSURE) WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY AUTOMATED SYSTEM PRIOR TO SPEAKING WITH AN AGENT. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY WRITTEN NOTICE OF THE SUPPOSED DEBT PRIOR TO RECEIVING THIS CALL, AND I HAD REQUESTED MY GYM MEMBERSHIP TO BE CANCELLED IN 2009. I CONTACTED THE GYM AND THEY ADVISED THERE WAS A SYSTEM ERROR AND CORRECTED IT FOR ME. I CAN PROVIDE AN EMAIL CONFIRMING THIS.Desired Settlement: I believe I should be entitled to financial compensation for releasing personal debt details to a 3rd party causing unnecessary embarrassment, for failing to disclose the agency was recording the calls, and for the time I spent speaking with the collection agency, the gym, a lawyer, and filing this claim. I also am requesting compensation toward credit monitoring for 1 year due to the collection agent disclosing my personal information as a means for verification.
