On April 8, 2017, CashMax purchased all Ohio TitleMax storefront locations and customer accounts and we are honored for the opportunity to serve former TitleMax customers. As a separate entity from TitleMax, CashMax has its own unique method of delivering the services of a Credit Services Organization. We offer Free Check Cashing and have negotiated a lower lender-assessed Credit Investigation Fee (CIF) which results in a similar total cost of credit to most former TitleMax customers.  In addition, we are offering discount coupons to former TitleMax customers to help ease the transition. Alternatively, the lender offers a refinance option to customers which much be accompanied by a guarantee from a licensed Credit Services Organization such as CashMax.  For some of the former TitleMax customers, CashMax will be cheaper; however, CashMax realizes that some of our new customers will, in fact, pay a higher rate on the CashMax Credit Services Organization Agreement than the previous rate with TitleMax, but that increase shouldn’t reach the level described in this complaint. We hope this response has addressed the concerns mentioned by Mr. Gray.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me. cash max was very cooperative of working out a satisfactory arrangement upon receipt of this complaint
