When they returned the item, they did not return all the parts, specifically the extension cord to the power adapter.  So they failed to follow their terms and conditions, I guess they find them useful but they do not have to follow them.

They also were unable to keep a consistent story, the item worked or it was liquid damaged with the implication that liquid damage would render the machine inoperable and therefore would require repair.  This company is typical of the fly-by-night operations that make promises they have no intention of keeping.

So in response to this complaint they kept pieces in retaliation.

This customer sent us an item that was not as he described in his quote form.  Below are full details of this customers transaction.  We have done everything 100% in accordance with our Terms and conditions, which the customer accepted, and this customer has no proof or way to prove that...

we did anything wrong here, he simply wants to do harm to our company.  Per the customer's request, the item in question was Returned to his address via FedEx - the tracking # is [redacted].
Background About How Our Company Works: We have been in business for over 10 years and have a long track record of 100% satisfied customers, and we would never damage an item without taking responsibility for it (as this customer is claiming).  Every day we get many shipments from customers who go to our website, www.CashForYourMac.com, tell us the details of their, mac, get a free price, and then accept the price and get a shipping label.  We have no way of knowing whether or not the customer is telling us accurate information, so we always perform a full inspection for each item we get, documenting exactly as it was received, and we send a revised cash offer if the item is not how the customer described.

Details of this customer's transaction:  Here is what he told us on his quote form, that was different from what he sent.

Does it function properly?: Yes, everything works great
Cosmetic condition: Good (has a few light scratches but no dents)

This customer's shipment was received at 1:19PM on 10/30 via FedEx.  The box was opened, and the item he sent to us was inspected and the inspection report was completed that same day by 6:52PM PST.  The item was Not As Described by the customer.  We sent an inspection report detailing everything to the customer via email. (copied below) We have a checklist of items and one of them is to test all the keys, and on this unit, the eject button does not work, and we also observed signs of previous spill damage, because when the backlit keyboard goes on, the keys do not light up evenly, which is not normal, indicative that something was previously spilled on the keyboard. Anything about the customer's computer that were not as he described, was documented and photographed, and sent to the customer the following email:

Hello Again Revdex.com, As stated in our previous response, we never received the device Mr. [redacted] claims to have sent via [redacted] Ground services. Once again, as the Cashforyourmac website terms and conditions clearly state (which this customer accepted prior to shipping his device), the customer remains responsible for risk of loss until the packages are physically delivered to our location. We take these matters very seriously. In cases where there is suspicion of fraud, it is our policy to conduct a thorough investigation and prosecute to the full extent of the law when applicable. We have ongoing investigations with the local Wadsworth, OH Police department and Wadsworth, OH Office Max. The local Office Max has video surveillance depicting Mr. [redacted] and a friend engaging in suspicious activity. Due to the ongoing investigation we are unable to describe in detail the events caught on camera. Wadsworth Local Law Enforcement and our company have requested that Mr. [redacted] file a police report, which he has yet to do. We are currently building our case and plan on challenging this matter until fully resolved. If criminal activity is suspected, it is our policy to prosecute to the full extent of the law. Cashfouryourmac Security & Fraud Team

Thank you for the follow up.  We will send a new extension cord to the owner.  Please ask the owner Mr. [redacted] to confirm what address he would like an extension cord sent to, and it will be mailed back within 2 business days at our expense.

We look forward to resolving this dispute.
