RevDex.com Complaint Response RE: Client: [redacted] Case ID: [redacted] I’m writing this letter in response to a complaint filed by [redacted] of **... [redacted] . My response is as follows: [redacted] was contacted by one of my outside marketing reps named Corey W [redacted] back on 01/23/17. At that time, Corey was informed that [redacted] was looking to conduct an event in 2017 that replicated previous events that my former company had done for [redacted] . Corey informed me of her interest and I contacted her that afternoon. I introduced myself and explained that the partnership that owned and operated the old company had broken up and that the sales rep she had dealt with in the past was my former partner and his company primarily focused on conducting licensed charitable events in the state of Illinois. Ms. [redacted] stated in her complaint that this is not true when in fact she is incorrect. My former partner, [redacted] is the Owner, according to the Illinois Secretary of State, of Casino Party Professionals which is a company licensed by the state of Illinois to conduct Licensed Charitable Casino Gaming events only and is NOT allowed by law to conduct any other type of Casino Themed Event. This can be verified by contacting the Illinois Department of Revenue Office of Bingo and Charitable Games at 217-785-5864 and talking to anyone in that department about Mr. ***l’s company, Casino Party Professionals. I also explained that I had started a new company that focused primarily on private and corporate events and that I would be happy to take care of her event. I stated I had all the event notes and information from last time so it would be easy to do. I sent her a contract and she digitally signed it on 01/24/17. On the following day which was 01/25/17, [redacted] emailed me a scanned copy of the check to be used for the 50% deposit due for the event, per the contract. The check was in the amount of $2,247.50. The check was processed on my end and I notified her that she was all set. She contacted me shortly after to arrange a phone conference to discuss some of the details of the upcoming event to take place on April 20th, 2017. The weekend before the phone conference, I came down with a very bad case of the flu and was running an extremely high temperature of 104.7 degrees. For some reason, the fever was unable to be broken for more than 24 hours so I wound up being hospitalized. Because of my condition and the hospitalization, I was completely unable to be on the conference call. Upon my return to work, I received an email from [redacted] and responded to it within a very short period of time to both apologize for missing the conference call and to explain the situation. Ms. ***, unfortunately, was very abrupt and extremely rude with me and could care less about any of it. She then notified me that she had contacted Casino Party Planners and had already signed another agreement with them and demanded that I give her a full refund for the deposit money she already paid. According to [redacted] ***’s complaint, she stated that she was informed by Casino Party Planners that “I was with Casino Party Planners but had left the company and taken info with me on past clients and their events.” I informed Ms. [redacted] that she had been lied to by the other company and that there was a large lawsuit and very hostile legal battle going on between the partners of the old company that I had filed against them. I also explained to her that I started the other company and brought the other partners into it later and didn’t feel there was a need to get into all the details of the lawsuit with her at that time. I also did my best to assure her that I was still a full partner and owner of the old company and that while the case was being resolved had started a new company to be able to continue to operate and service the clients. I also explained my guarantee that we put in writing which is, “We will meet or exceed the clients’ expectations for their event or it’s free!” I told her that I would refund the money to her if we ran her event and she wasn’t happy with it. Please keep in mind that we were still a little more than one week away from her event and that the challenges I had would not have interfered with her event in any way, shape, or form. She attempted to contact me three times by phone while I was out and that was the extent of her effort! Had she sent an email during that period, she would have received a response from my assistant letting her know the situation. In addition, it had been explained to her originally when booking the event that someone from my office, either Susan, Paula, or Lori would have contacted her the week of her event and gone through all the final arrangements including the delivery and setup of the event. This is not something that I would be responsible for but my office team would be! Ms. [redacted] could care less and didn’t wish to hear any of it. She was certain she was right in her actions to double book another company for her event, and was attempting to hold me and my company responsible for her poor decision. I have attached the email chain for your review. I hold my company to the highest standards in the industry for customer service excellence and for the events we produce. For that very reason, this is the ONLY complain that I have ever received and have been in good standing with the BBB for many years. Should you have any questions, please contact me directly at 317-701-3113 or via email at [email protected] Respectfully, Alan B [redacted] President Casino Party Experts Illinois / Indiana / Kentucky / Michigan Corporate Address: 958 East Georgia Street Indianapolis, IN. 46202 O: 317-857-0168 F: 630-246-3372

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I read Alan's response (in it's entirety) and the dishonesty in almost every paragraph is astonishing. I was never contacted by anyone named *** *** (1st paragraph) My first contact with Alan was 1-18-and he responded via email after a phone conversation with him I did not tell Alan we booked an event with another Casino planner. Quote from my email to Alan: "With several efforts to contact you, and with no reply from you, our company has made a decision to go a different route for our event on April 20th." Alan failed to mention besides having the flu, he also did not get back to my calls or emails the week prior to the event for several days due to a "car accident". He never mentioned any other staff members to contact in the event he was unreachableWith the high level of service we provide for our clients, I could not take the chance of Alan and his company having an excuse for not showing on then night of our event (guests).Bottom line, he will continue to be dishonest and wrongfully keep our deposit. Consumers need to know my experience with this company. Alan B*** is unprofessional, dishonest and delivers poor customer service. He continues to prove this with his ignorant response to the Revdex.com.
Regards,
