Review: Made false accusations on move out refund and did not return all we have rights to. They ([redacted], manager) told us we would be charged for half the cost of their cleaning crew cost and they would pay the other half even though we cleaned to their specs and beyond ( we took pics) and said there was heavily stained carpets & cooking odors. We don't have any pets, just the two of us (elderly) retired folks, so we don't eat in 80 % of the time. They charged us the full amount ($150.00) of the cleaning cost & $150.00 for carpets and odor. The apartment was cleaner upon exit then when we moved in and would not be ashamed to move in new tenants(asper photos. I called several times & they did not respond. My daughter called twice and they said they turned it over to corporate (?). No response. We are holding on to the refund check so they will not consider it acceptable. Thank you for your help in advance.

At move out, we do send an itemized accounting of any deductions that are taken from your security deposit along with the actual estimates or invoices from our vendors. We use professional cleaners and carpet cleaners and we have to go off their estimates for the actual work to be done. Occasionally, it does happen where the apartment needs more work that what we initially think when walking the apartment at move out with the resident. The cleaner does a thorough inspection of the apartment documenting everything to be cleaned and taking photographs of the condition of the apartment. Unfortunately, cleaning of any type is not normal wear and tear. If needed, janitorial charges will be deducted from the security deposit regardless of the length of occupancy in the apartment.
