Hi ***,Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the *** family. We have purchased a building in Castle rock that was in operation as a child care center...*** * *** was the business that was in operation. There was a bit of a rush with this purchase as the sellers stipulated
in the purchase contract that there was to be no release of information prior to days of closing. Once we hit the day prior to closing date, which was actually March 5th, we sent emails to every parent that was attending the *** * *** school asking them to register with Castle Academy by the 18th of March if they planned to continue with Castle Academy. We also posted the email we sent to the parents of *** * *** at the front desk of the *** * *** facility. Also during the first two weeks of March, we (my wife and I) were present to greet and introduce ourselves to parents as the future owners of the building. During this time, we were continually reminding parents to register with Castle Academy if they were planning continue on with Castle Academy. I have attached multiple emails as pdf's that were sent to all *** * *** families. On March we sent the following email to *** * *** Families..."Hello***Families,We hope you are having a wonderful "Daylight Savings Monday!" We know that the announcement of the sale of your child care facility has come as a shock to you, and for that we apologizeThere were contractual restrictions that prevented us from making the announcement sooner than days prior to closingWe have had the pleasure of making contact with most of you in person and others over the phone or through email and we are looking forward to creating a lasting relationship with you and your family. All families that are choosing to stay through the transition will need to create a new file for each child enrolledWe have an online registration system that will start the processYou can start the registration process here https://www.myprocare.com/Login/EnterEmail , or you can go to our homepage www.castleacademy.com to find the link under "myprocare Register Here"You will create an account and enter the information requested for each child you will be enrollingAfter you have completed this registration, we will email you the remainder of the forms we need to have in your child's/children's fileWe will also have hard copies at the desk for your convenience. We are asking those of you who are planning to enroll with Castle Academy to complete this online registration prior to Sunday, March 18th. We will be opening enrollment to our wait-list families and the general public on March 19th. To address a few of the common questions we have received from *** * *** families: Our Parent Handbook is attached, which should cover anything we miss hereIf you still have any unanswered questions, please reach out to us!Our hours are 6am to 6pmWe know this presents a challenge for some families and there are child care facilities in town that stay open until 6:in the eveningsWe would love to have everybody join our Castle Academy family, but know this may not be possible for some. Our billing and payments are done monthlyTo help with the transition from paying weekly to paying monthly, we will offer a twice a month payment (1st and 15th) option until June if families siwith our Tuition Express Auto Draft/Charge payment processing system.Due to our anticipation of being full in all classrooms, we will not be able to accommodate any drop in or off-week enrollments.We do not offer any discounts other than a family discount, which is 10% off the lowest monthly tuition.We are looking to offer the supplemental activities that some of you currently have your children enrolled in at *** * ***We are working with these vendors to incorporate their program on a school-wide basis at no additional cost to you.We have worked it out so that we can add *** Elementary in the AM and *** *** Elementary in the PM to the previous list of schools we transport toThe list of schools we transport to changes from year to year based on the needs of our familiesWe will inform you of any changes for the '18-'school year before summer break.Our programs are Montessori BasedWe incorporate many of the Montessori Materials and Philosophies into our Preschool and PreK classesThere is a lot of information about each curriculum and activities for each class in our Parent HandbookIf you look through this information and still have questions, we'd love to meet with you and explain moreYou can also come to Castle Academy South and observe one or our PreK classes at anytime. What to expect Monday, April 2nd. A new entry processs...we will be installing a new keyless entry system which will allow each parent to enter a code unique to open the front door. We will also have multiple touch sc*** checomputers which will make the check in process more convenient and faster. We will be upgrading the playground, hopefully starting in April to include: artificial turf replacing the current grass, and a concrete pad with basketball hoops on the middle playground to start. We also have a new set of outdoor blocks on order that will hopefully be delivered around the first week of Aprilyou can view the block set here... community playthings block set We fully appreciate that change is hard and we know that we will not be able to meet the needs of all families! I did end the conversation with *** *** once he became semi-belligerent and threatened to take legal action if we didn't find a spot for his son. Unfortunately, we had filled all remaining spots for children as we had stated we would in the email sent on March 16th. *** did not respond to our emails until we emailed after he tried to register past the registration deadline. As for the conversation with *** ***, who called after I had spoken with her husband ***, I again listened patiently to her concerns and again expressed our sympathy, but that we had filled all remaining spots. *** than became semi-hysterical and stated that I was a terrible person and was ruining her child's life. At this point in the conversation, I apologized for the situation and said our conversation was over. We have been very transparent with our intentions in this acquisitionParents had plenty of time to register with Castle Academy should they have chosen. I am rejecting this response because: Joel completely lied about both my conversation and my husband’s conversation.  I will not accept a response with blatant lies in them. That is not how either conversation went. The conversation with Joel was neither courteous or professional on his part, as evidenced by him hanging up on my husband, laughing twice as I explained the stress this situation was causing both our family and my young son, and by him interrupting me as I spoke. Not only was his response not factual, he called my husband semi-belligerent and myself semi-hysterical, both of which are untrue and incredibly disrespectful. We have no desire for our son to attend Castle Academy, however we do believe that other parents deserve to know the type of person running a facility responsible for the well being of young children.
