Castle Check Cashing

Review: On March **, 2013, I tried to use the ATM machine at the Castle Checking location at [redacted]. I received a message that the "transaction could not be processed at this time" but knew my card was ok so I went to this window knowing they could also process the request as a "point of sale" transaction. The agent processed the transaction and had me enter my PIN. She received an error message as well and told me they could not process my type of card (a regular Visa debit card). I asked to confirm that the transaction was be canceled, she said it was. Two days later, on March**, the amount of money requested from the window representative was deducted from my account. I disputed the charge with my bank however they would not reverse the charge because, my "card was used and PIN number entered at the time of the transaction. It is the card holder's responsibility to be certain that any funds requested are received." I have been speaking with, Castle Checking manager, [redacted] at tel.: ###-###-#### to resolve the dispute. I will say that the steps to resolution have been correct: [redacted] agreed to the refund and said he would send a check/money order for the exact amount via certified mail. I did not receive the check at the address I gave him within a reasonable amount of time (2 weeks). I called, he said he had to research it and would call me back. [redacted] did not call me back within one week. I called again, he said he would cancel the money order and send a new one but had to wait until the previous one was sent back to his office. [redacted] did not call back and I still did not receive the check. I called after a reasonable amount of time ~2-3 weeks. [redacted] said he would send another check via certified mail & asked for a new address to send the check, which I gave him. This entire process of trying to resolve the issue has taken 3 months as of June **, 2013. [redacted] is now audibly irritated when I call. I have zero faith this issue will ever be resolved.Desired Settlement: I just want the money refunded and the complaint regarding their process and business practices filed. An investigation as to whether or not [redacted] performed any of the actions he promised would also be great.

Review: I went to Castle Check to pay a bill and got a receipt for it.

A few days later I got a call from the company asking for payment and I told them I had made my payment at Castle and I have my receipt. After further investigation, they saw they Castle did make a payment but canceled it afterwards. I went to Castle to complain and was told that the cashier that took my money and counted the money twice made a mistake counting and I have not given her the $280 payment. instead I gave her $180. I said that's not true and the girl counted many times to know that $100 is missing. She probably made a mistake with another customer and as short of money and now im the bait. I also told them they have cameras everywhere and they can clearly see the exact amount of money a customer gives each cashier. He can I can make a police report but he can only $180 back. Now I'm short $100 which I don't have and a late payment fee for non payment. All this because they made a mistake and are trying to cove it up.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the missing $100 so I can make my full payment. I have my receipt from then stating I made the full payment and they need to honor it.
