At this time, I have been contacted directly by Castle Title Insurance Inc. regarding complaint ID ***, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
As far as I can tell (online via *** see attached), my full bill remains due -- i.e., has not been paidThis is
despite the fact that just a couple days after I lodged this Revdex.com complaint, a principal of the title company called me by phone to assure me he would be paying the bill in full "tomorrow." It's possible the NYC website does not display the most current data, but having since received no form of confirmation of resolution from either the City or the title company, I am left unable to conclude anything other than that no action has in fact been taken to date

Review: My property closed in Sept. and Castle Title Insurance was responsible for paying taxes owed by me to the state of New York; they received a check at closing from my lawyer to pay this amount to the state. Upon filing my personal taxes, I received an amended tax form from the state of New York due to "taxes not paid" to the state. I contacted the agency two weeks ago and have received two separate responses to the issue. I was first told that I would have a resolution the following Monday and proof so that I could resolve the issue on my end. I contacted them again because no one had followed up with me and this time I was told that someone would pull my file and get right back to me with proof but this has yet to happen as well. I have yet to receive an unsolicited call from them with an update, I only receive a call back when I leave a message questioning the status of my payment. If the check was lost they could simply call the bank and check to see if it was cashed and/ or possibly cancel it and reissue the funds to me or the state. Secondly, if the monies were paid as they were supposed to be then it would only be a matter of them scanning me a copy of the cancelled check and receipt from the county clerks office and I could then clear up the issue on my end. At this point, I just want my monies refunded if they have not been paid and I will handle my taxes on my own.Desired Settlement: I want actual proof that my taxes were paid so that I can settle my matter with the state. If the taxes were not paid I my behalf then I want the money refunded to me in the form of a certified check and I will pay my taxes on my own. Thank you
