On April 24th, 2020 I completed a car shipping quote request online and was contacted by GTB Logistics LLC and was provided a quote of $225.00 in which $100.00 was the deposit amount and $125.00 is the amount to be paid to the Driver upon vehicle delivery. On April 25th, 2020 *** from GTB Logistics called me and my wife Chiquita and stated he received our online quote order and will start working on the work order and would call us on Monday 4/27/20 to confirm the Driver details. Monday 4/27/20 at 8:17am CST, *** from GTB called my wife and stated he had located a driver for us and went over the pricing details again and stated that we would be receiving pickup details soon. At 11:56AM CST, we received a text from someone names Jason who stated he was the Driver and was going to be picking up the vehicle in 1 hour but that we need to pay the $100.00 deposit first. He stated we can only pay by cashapp or zelle because since the Coronavirus happened, they are not taking credit card payments for safety purposes (this does not make sense because every other company is taking credit/debit card purchases without any issues). *** kept insisting we hurry up and pay the $100.00 deposit and that we needed to send the $100.00 ASAP because he had already picked up the vehicle. At 1:10pm CST he texted us and said he was in line waiting to pick up the car and asked for our Buyer# and insisted again that we needed to send the $100.00 deposit by Zelle to his wife *** Camila Alvarez with a phone number of XXX-XXX-XXXX. He kept texting us telling us to hurry up and send the $100.00 because he has already picked up the vehicle. So we finally sent the $100.00 deposit to *** through his wife Zelle account XXX-XXX-XXXX, he stated he received it. We then asked him at 4:19pm CST do he have a estimated time frame on when he will deliver the car, he stated he will let us know. He never provided us with a time so we asked him again at 8:29pm CST and he stated he will let us know in a few, however, he never did contact us and we never received our vehicle. The next morning 4/28/20 we contacted Copart who verified the vehicle had not been picked up (although *** stated through text message he had already picked up the car 4/27/20). We reached out to *** and *** who stated that the issue is being resolved, however, the car was never picked up and we were told our $100.00 deposit would be refunded. Four days has went by and we still have not received a refund. We have multiple text messages from *** and *** This is ridiculous and they should not be out here frauding people.
