Catamaran PBM of Maryland, Inc. Reviews (5)

Catamaran PBM took over the pharmacy benefits program for the state of Ohio in recent years. My personal experience has been extremely negative and frustrating. Since I've had no other options in ordering my medications through my employer's contract with Catamaran, I've dealt with having my prescriptions canceled, simply not sent, a accepting payments but not having record on my account that payment was made (after a month's time or more), and saying attempts have been made to contact my doctor when no contact was ever made...(several times this has been the case). I want to make this company's service to be made available to the public. I am nearing retirement and having an irresponsible company in charge of necessary medication for an elderly population or their caretakers, who may not have the technology or mental capacity to deal with not receiving their meds or being billed when payments have already been made, this is an important issue. I've personally waited over a month for an important prescription, which is totally unacceptable. I hope others report their experiences with Catamaran so others don't have illness and possible death attributed to pharmacy issues from a company who apparently cares much more about money than having a positive reputation. Thank you.

I work in residential treatment and one of our prior residents used Catamaran. This person moved out years ago but they keep calling. I have asked multiple times for them to stop calling and they promise to but then call again. They called yesterday and the person on the phone promised we would be removed from the list but I received another call today (automated) I then called and spoke to a person who, after placing me on hold several times, was unable to help because I would not release additional information besides person's name and they could not find account. Not the world's worst thing, but really poor customer service and apparently fine with lying to people.
