The following is in response to the complaint to the Revdex.com by the customer listed above as it relates to a nuisance wildlife squirrel job our business completed on her structure.The complaint although not totally unexpected, is basically false It goes to show how far some will go to get out of paying for what they have contracted to have done In retrospect we could somewhat see this one coming, as they say.Our external inspection of the structure and our visual of squirrels entering and exiting compromises on the structure, including a broken hanging down soffit confirmed what the customer had referenced in her original call to us, she had squirrels in her house As we started catching the squirrels she asked if we thought there was any way that the previous owner of the property shouldn't in some way be responsible for paying for or at least helping pay for the squirrel removalWe told her that it may be a possibility, but it would be between her and the previous ownerShe then asked that we draft a letter, we agreed to do that and upon completion, we sent it to her real estate agent as per her requestNot unexpectedly, the previous owner refused any ownership for the problemAt the end of the process she later complained of night sounds, and an inspection of her attic and basement revealed a mouse problem Because mice, rats and insects our considered “pests” and not wildlife and we are not licensed to deal with them, we chose to, as we always do, make her aware of ways she could deal with the mice herself and or other options including calling “pest” companies.Soon thereafter the customer stated that she was unsatisfied with our work and that she had contacted some “wildlife experts” and some wildlife trappers who said our process for removal and fees were inappropriateShe said that they had told her that the sounds she was hearing were bats which she said she paid them to remove and that she no longer heard the sounds The facts are that our internal inspection (referenced above) showed she had no bats but she had miceThe problem with the “bats” being excluded during the winter is that our bats are in hibernation, and because there are no insects for them to eat, they don't go outsideWhat she paid for, I have no idea.The customers next step was to notify her Visa Card company and stop payment and reverse the charges on the “scam” Her Visa Card company promptly complied with her request and removed all monies charged against her card from our business account They also requested from us, all information pertaining to their customer's complaint We provided faxed pages listing all correspondence involving the situation including inspection findings, phone calls, texts, letter to real estate company we had drafted for her, invoices and her agreement to charges etcAfter the Visa Card company had an opportunity to review the information we provided, they promptly returned the money to our business account.The last remaining step for our customer was to contact the Revdex.com and attempt to give negative feedback about our companyThat is her prerogativeIn closing this rebuttal I choose to state for the record that I have been doing nuisance wildlife removal in one way or another for the public, corporations, and the Federal government since and have never had to deal with a complaintMy goal has always been to provide people with the best information I can so that they can make good decisions on their perceived wildlife problem If I do a good job, they are in a much better situation to make good decisions If we end up being the solution to their problems, greatIf not, we've done the best by people that we can.***copied and pasted from email
